Where's Goldfinger?

Recommended Posts

I havent heard anything from him about leaving. Perhaps he is on holiday?

If he is lurking here, and has a gripe, I would like to hear from him about what the issue might be.

Goldfinger sent me this via PM.

"I am in the process of moving, that's why I haven't posted much recently. My new position starts March 1st."

I guess that means he's busy moving his Silver....

Or more bad beats. I've had my fair share, though my percentage on average is up around 30% it's not a game I'd recommend playing. ;-)

Time the old boy came back! :D :D :D

GF taught me the most important lesson I have learned in a long long time.

"When inflation is rising and interest rates are lower than inflation, the best place to be is in gold."

It is simple when you think about it.

Regards

ML.

Is he active on other sites these days?

Does anyone know...

I reckon he's finally living up to his namesake and swapping all his massive physical reserves of silver for gold. The mechanics of this will take quite some time I imagine.

Lurking probably...

Guess is he's cheesed off with Catflap ascendance again. But let's not go there shall we!

Waiting for people to bet him back?

Nothing to do with him, but this site has been far more relaxed, constructive, and allround better in the last few weeks since the culling.

He did some of the culling, and so we should be grateful for that,

while missing is regular postings on Gold etc

Do doubt regulars will be able to enjoy his usual baiting of deflationistas in the hyperinflation thread, ramping of gold at every opportunity and all that they have come to enjoy about him.

I wonder whether there is a similar show in Germany about Brits visiting their country?

It amazes me how long that sort of "humor" has survived in the UK.

I regard that Bazil Fawltey program as a sort of high water market (low water market?) in

anti-German humor. John Cleese was sending it up, of course. But the show has not always

been used that way.

In my time living there, I saw much that amused me, but this I found one of the funniest traditions of New Year's Eve:

From:

The punchline "same procedure as last year?" cracks me up... :D Poor Butler... having to do his duty every year!

It's part of the charm and racial makeup of the UK. It is when we stop laughing at other races the fighting normally starts.

How on earth could one stop  I mean, I know it is cruel to laugh at people who are afflicted but you just had to.
