underling
Shivers down the spine @ 52 seconds... I was waiting for it to break with a dum-da-dum-da-dum-da tsh-tsh but it never came! Didn't SR post this a while ago, albeit without the vocals where it did break? It was a live set I think. I might have to trawl through this thread at some point. SR did, Shadow played it in his Shadowsphere gig. Lovely track ........ Picked the album up Tuesday and imho, it's a bit of a dud. That particular track unexpectedly doesn't infact break!!!! Big disappointment really but I suppose he may farm it out for remixing. My advice is to sample the LP on spotify and try and pick up any remix EPs of the tracks that suit your taste. * cries a little *

Shame to hear that the album is a bit of a dud though! And always great to hear Curtis Mayfield and Hendrix - Hey Joe is one of my favourites. I also love it when Jimi plays the Blues... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_9KOGaLXdg
LC1
When the world is looking a bit bleak, I always find myself returning to my reggae collection and firing up some righteous indignation against the Babylon Sh!tstem But also for those sweet, soothing, uplifting tunes (yes, sometimes cheesey). So turn off your cheese filter and let Freddie McGregor put a smile on your face: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh25M0KcaTk And how about some Maxi Priest on the Tears Riddim: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOqKBf3d-bE

Silent reader
This week I think i've had a bit of an epiphany that i'm totaly powerless in the grand scheme of things, I was stood next to an Electric arc furnace (obviously not right next to it, the blast shelds were down of course) but it was like standing in Dantes inferno. All week long............. i've been blasting this out on my travels, and I dedicate this to all those who have had to sacrifice something, those who had the presence of mind that keeping up with the Jones' is not the corect path for life, those who saved and actively contributes to an economy not just financially but by the way they educate and share technology and ideas and support them. Those who know the meaning of Thrift, and are actively growing thier own food .............. and to you Merv for another 75 Billion, see if I F***ing care, for a revolution without dancing, is a revolution not worth having, and a revolution starts inside each of us, you just have to realise it first TURN THIS UP Keep well everyone (Not so) Silent Reader

OH MY WORD Circular Logic (Front to back) ........... lol Scale it back....... Just lovely (not so) Sad and Lonely ......... just a big smile accross my "chevy chase" along with an occasional tear from the eye Def surrounds us ........... it most certainly does Underling, give it time my friend Warpig, to save you searching performed perfectly at very special timepoint of my life
underling
ensure that you have the deluxe version Underling, give it time my friend I did get the deluxe version and my opinion still holds. Sure there is one or two 'hits' but in all honesty I picked up a couple of other albums at the same time and the Shadow LP was the least inspiring out of three buys. I may come back to it and give it another go, but I'll not rush.
