**** You can now post embedded YouTube videos ****

Recommended Posts

Example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcTjTdJQMx8

This is what you type, without the spaces:

[ youtube ]AcTjTdJQMx8[ /youtube ]

I would appreciate it if you'd also include the youtube link when posting (as above), as it makes it easier to download the vids.

DrBubb,

I hope this is OK with you.

I have not enabled flash embedding - which can be a security risk.

I think this is done in a more secure way, and is only for YouTube.

See Management -> Custom BBCode Manager.

Hot chick discussing economic collapse - does not compute.....

My brain was looking for a grey haired old man in braces and a bow tie....

She mentions the amero, so you can't take her that seriously.

Good work with youtube steve, BTW.

Well to say I'm chuffed with that is an understatement :D

So, all you need to do is (without the spaces):

[ youtube ]jHPOzQzk9Qo[ /youtube ]

And you'll get an embedded youtube video, with a nice surround AND a link to the source happy64.gif

And the link even opens a new tab ;):D

Can we have a hotties thread with economic news please.......!

I'm not the only one with a "create new thread" button :P:D

But, under equal opportunity law, we must have one for male hotties too

Could I ask all those who embed videos into thread include some text of what is being said or discussed in the video.

I don’t generally have time to sit and watch 10 minutes of video, to wait for the important statement. If I know that a video is important I might convert it to MP3 and listen to it in the car during my commute. I also feel that I do not have to be ‘entertained’ I want the information but quite a few others seem to have a need to be entertained.

One recent example was the King Tut exhibition at the 02 Doom in London. You had to stand with the sheep and watch a 15 minute video before you could go in and then the sheep were offered, for an extra £5, a talking tour of the displays that just repeated all of the information on the cards that were attached to the displays and walls. I was incredulous at the number of zombies that just stood there with vacant expressions, not an original thought amongst them :(
