Useful site finviz.com

Recommended Posts

Came across this great site www.finviz.com, has lots of useful stuff such as the screeners, and also check the TA singal screeners (such as all with matching support, head & shoulders plus other patterns)

I see the picture of the S&P for today is rosy or is that red... quite literally!!

That’s pretty cool.

It’s a shame they don’t have the UK shares. I wanted to see my own portfolio.

I bet it would a small red flashing square anyway. :(

That's very cool Matt thanks :D

I like the "Maps":

http://www.finviz.com/map.ashx?t=sec&st=w52

You can select "over 1 year", zoom in/out and double click to get a chart on the item you click on.

eg http://www.finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=WMT

Pity it doesn't cover more things.

I noticed the ETFs yesterday. It very quickly shows that the greenest (the most green) squares are all leverages shorts. I’m going to go back for another look when I have more time.

It does show UK shares, go to the World view and you can zoom right in on the FTSE100 by clicking on it

I think the world map is based upon internationals that are listed in the US, as opposed to their local listing (e.g. BP is listed on the FTSE as well as in the US, the world map show the US listing overlayed upon the UK)
