SQUAD: Congressional Puppets In Revolt against Pelosi

Recommended Posts

Democrats don't need "more black faces that don't want to be a black voice," Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley told a liberal Netroots Nation conference on Sunday, according to The Washington Post.

The Democratic representative said “This is the time to shake that table. ... We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice,” emphasizing that she's not interested in bringing "a chair to an old table."

Pressley's spokeswoman told the Post the representative was stressing that “diversity at the table doesn’t matter if there’s not real diversity in policy.”

Pressley’s comment following a turbulent week of party infighting, The Hill reported.

Racial politics are threatening to divide the Democrats as a new wave of elected progressives clash with the party’s establishment.

The most glaring recent example was when Pressley and three other freshmen progressives in the House had a spat with Speaker Nancy Pelosi after they did not vote for a border aid package last month after the speaker put forward a bill approved by the Senate.

In addition, the Congressional Black Caucus has sided with Pelosi against the progressive group Justice Democrats for supporting challengers to incumbent lawmakers of color, especially African Americans.

DEM "Whack Jobs" says quotable Kennedy

GOP Sen. John Kennedy Unloads on the ‘Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse,’ ‘Wack Jobs,’ ‘Left-Wing Cranks’:

‘They’re the Reason There are Directions on a Shampoo Bottle’ [President Trump Agrees]

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) was on with Tucker Carlson last night where he took aim at The Squad with three lines that are soon-to-be classics.

They’re the “horsewomen of the apocalypse,” “the reason there are directions on shampoo bottles” and they’re “wack jobs”:

“In America, if you hate our Country, you are free to leave. The simple fact of the matter is, the four Congresswomen think that America is wicked in its origins, they think that America is even more wicked now, that we are all racist and evil. They’re entitled to their.....

Leftist Media Think They Exposed Trump But STILL Get played For Fools

Trump vs the Squad: Klein says Trump forces the Dems to "put the squad on the pedestal."

But Trump is playing a Longer Con... & Trump is "playing them all as fools"

Trump unified the Dems around the Four Crazies, propping them up

Vox's Ezra Klein Basically Confirms Trump Is Playing "4D Chess" After MAJOR Media Manipulation. In an article for the Vox, Ezra Klein writes that Trump's tweets are meant to force the Democrats to prop up Ocasio-Cortez and the other far left Democrats in order to make all the Democrats look like far left socialists. Many people on the right and in the center agree, this was a Trumpian "4D Chess" move. A recent poll from Axios shows that most people detest Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez so Trump wants to make sure she remains the center of attention. Trump effectively got Nancy Pelosi to reverse course and give AOC and others a massive platform. But the truth goes one step beyond this. Although its funny to think Trump is playing "4D Chess" the idea is just a silly meme. Then you realize what Trump actually did. For the past several years the Republican President has been able to trick the media into covering his tweets instead of real breaking news. This time Trump pulled off a major "two birds with one stone" while tricking everyone not once, but actually twice.

List of Racist Statements by Members of the ‘Squad’ (So Far)

President Donald Trump tweeted Tuesday that “I don’t have a Racist bone in my body!” and challenged his critics to “Get a list of the HORRIBLE things” that the four Democratic congresswomen of the so-called “Squad” have said.

It is worth noting that all four — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) are members of a group called the “Justice Democrats.” The group is specifically devoted to backing primary candidates against Democratic incumbents seen as being too moderate and too white.

Last November, the Justice Democrats launched a campaign called “#OurTime,” aimed at recruiting candidates to challenge “Democratic incumbents who are demographically and ideologically out-of-touch with their districts.”

From the start, the “Squad” devoted itself to an explicitly race-based political effort.

Then there are their statements.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)

From the start, “AOC” used race in her campaign for Congress. As Politico noted in 2018, she challenged incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY), who is white, on “ideological, generational and racial grounds, arguing that the 10-term congressman was not in step with his majority-minority district and was too cozy with corporate donors.”

AOC also has a record of controversial statements about Israel. She claimed, for example, that Israel had committed a “massacre” of Palestinian protesters at the border fence last year. The vast majority were actually members of Hamas, a terrorist organizations that was using the fake “protest” to launch infiltrations and violent attacks against Israel.

In recent weeks, AOC has shown even greater insensitivity to the Jewish community by comparing migrant facilities at the U.S.-Mexico border to “concentration camps.” Attorney Alan Dershowitz, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, called her claims a form of Holocaust denial. Despite criticism from the U.S. Holocaust Museum, Israel’s Yad Vashem, and others, AOC refused to apologize and rejected an invitation to visit actual concentration camp sites.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)

Omar has a long history of anti-Israel statements that have included antisemitic themes, such as suggesting that Jews control the world. In 2012, she tweeted: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” Local Jewish community leaders in Minnesota staged an intervention before she took up her seat in Congress — to no avail; she continued making offensive anti-Israel and antisemitic statements.

In February, Omar tweeted, “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” suggesting (falsely) that a pro-Israel group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), bribed members of Congress to support Israel. The implication was that Jews were using money to control Congress. Omar apologized for that tweet, but went on, a few weeks later, to claim that pro-Israel members of Congress owed “allegiance to a foreign country.” The chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a fellow Democrat, called her statement a “vile antisemitic slur,” but she refused to apologize.

In an effort to tamp down the controversy, House Democrats passed a resolution condemning antisemitism — but only among other forms of hatred, and without mentioning Omar specifically. After the resolution passed, Omar took a victory lap, claiming (falsely) that it marked the first time Congress had condemned anti-Muslim prejudice.

More recently, Omar has supported AOC’s inflammatory claim that the migrant facilities are “concentration camps.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)

Tlaib believes that the State of Israel has no right to exist and should be dismantled — a stance that lost her the support of the far-left J Street organization, which likes to maintain the pretense of support for a two-state solution.
In January, Tlaib posted an antisemitic tweet, declaring that members of Congress who supported Israel “forgot what country they represent.” The American Jewish Committee accused her of using an antisemitic claim of “dual loyalty.”

In February, Tlaib called Housing and Urban Development official Lynne Patton, a black woman, a “prop” for appearing in the gallery during a hearing where members of Congress were debating whether Trump was racist.

In May, Tlaib made the bizarre statement that she felt “a calming feeling … when I think of the Holocaust.” She explained by making the false claim that Palestinians had offered Jews a “safe haven” from the Holocaust.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA)

On Sunday, just hours after the president posted his congressional tweets, Pressley told left-wing bloggers at Netroots Nation: “We don’t need any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.” She appeared to assume that the only legitimate “black voice” was leftist; black Americans with other views were legitimate targets of racial attack.

Pressley’s bio on her official House of Representatives website — not a personal or campaign page — implies that a white person cannot represent her congressional district: “The Massachusetts 7th is the most diverse and most unequal district in the state, requiring a representative whose experiences are reflective of the people,” it says.

The MAD SQAD is the Upposite of Tactful

America Needs to Rediscover Tact

In our politics, holding back and minimizing pain has given way to rubbing people’s noses in defeat.

I want to kick away from the daily and get to something larger.

We are a nation of just under 330 million. We have a lot of disputes, always have, argument is one of our traditions. To make it all work, to keep this thing going, we have to give each other a little room, a little space. We have so many different thoughts and ways. We have to be easy with each other, not pick on each other all the time.

This requires tact, which sounds sissy and small-time but is not. Tact takes brains and discipline. It’s a form of empathy: You see the other guy is embarrassed or unhappy, and you decide not to make it worse. You hold back from causing unnecessary pain. It is connected to graciousness: You let your foe up easy.

In a great roiling democracy tact isn’t only desirable, it is necessary. We won’t hold together as a nation without it.

And we don’t value it at all. We let it slide down the hole of old habits. Who teaches civic tact now?

What has taken its place in our political culture is a spirit of maximalism—let’s rub their faces in it.

. . .

In New York six months ago it wasn’t enough to pass one of the most radical pro-abortion laws in the land; you had to light up the World Trade Center and the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge in pink lights to celebrate. So that even the skyline approves of what you did. You say you do this because you’re happy. You do it to rub the opposition’s faces in it.

Before all that and most famously there was “bake my cake.” You’re not allowed simply to absorb the nation’s changing ways; you have to become part of my wedding even if your faith prohibits this, and if you don’t, I’ll gather my friends and kill your business. Progressives cannot understand what a wound this was to conservative Christians, who were obeying the law but hoped not to be pushed around.

Nike makes a new sneaker they’re unveiling on July 4, and it’s got a Betsy Ross flag on it, but Colin Kaepernick, a bright and eccentric young man, declares that flag a racist symbol because we used to have slavery and now have unresolved racial problems. And Nike says: What Colin says goes, no flag sneaker for you, America! Who’s worse, Mr. Kaepernick, so full of himself that his need to provide moral instruction is never ameliorated by any personal modesty, or the mealy-mouthed weasel-cynic corporate executives who in their play-to-the-demographic, postpatriotic way give worldly success a bad name?

What does it matter? They’re rubbing your face in it.

. . .

In the past, whether you were racist could be judged by your actions. You held ugly biases, you said or did things that were definitionally discriminatory. The bad news is that you were this way, but the good news is that you could change. You could widen your lens, let some love in, say, think or do better things. You could improve.

And as you did, so would the nation. So there was hope.

Which was pretty wonderful. You could think, “I will help establish full civil rights for all.” You could commit yourself and succeed. You had agency.

Now the idea has taken hold that the charge of racism doesn’t derive from thoughts and actions, from what people say and do, but from who they are. If you are white that accident of birth left you racist, and there’s nothing you can do about it. You’ve got white privilege. You are unconsciously favored, and unconsciously assign disfavor. Either way you’re guilty. No action or word can turn this around.

So change is not possible; improvement will not happen. There’s no way out.

This is demoralizing. America can never become a better place if it isn’t even allowed to think it can.

Who would encourage such thinking? I’d say anyone who doesn’t really want racial progress. And surely what they have in common is an ignorance of the human heart, a tactlessness, and a refusal to look out for the whole.

. . .

Americans watching know their country is riven by drugs, inequality, lack of social cohesion. They see the migrants and grimly think: Oh good, more unhappy people to join our unhappy people—maybe we can all be unhappy and take drugs together. That will improve things!

But this week on “CBS This Morning,” Norah O’Donnell toured the largest detention facility on the border and talked to a young mother from Venezuela with a 2-year-old son. She told her story. For months at home she’d heard nothing but gunfire. She fled alone with her son, just the two of them on the long trek north. She wept as she talked.

She was a person of modesty and dignity.

She said she had warm food here. They provided Pampers for the baby. Ms. O’Donnell said: But you are sleeping on the floor. Yes, said the mother, “on a mat.”

She showed no resentment, expressed no demand. She was just grateful.

She had tact.

Get her in here, please. We need her kind.

Trump says Squad is 'destroying the Democrat Party'

President Trump called out the four freshman congresswomen known as "The Squad," claiming that not only are they bad for America as a whole, they are damaging their own party.

The criticism comes amid a two-fronted political battle that Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley have been engaged in of late; one against Trump, and another against the Democratic establishment, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"I don’t believe the four Congresswomen are capable of loving our Country," Trump tweeted Sunday morning. "They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) things they have said. They are destroying the Democrat Party, but are weak & insecure people who can never destroy our great Nation!"

The REAL RACIST is not our duly elected President

HYPOCRISY EXPOSED: Ilhan Omar Is Guilty Of Everything She’s Accused Trump Of Doing

Ilhan Omar (if that is even her real name) made it a huge pity fest when the President of the United States called her out for her anti-American rhetoric. As a Congresswoman, since day one in office, she has ignored our 180+ year law of not wearing head coverings, condemns the nation she serves, and insults our President.

The comments our President made were simple. Rather than complain and attack the country you are supposed to be serving just do your job. If you can’t do your job because our nation is oppressive or racist you can leave. If you think you are so good at bringing change why not go back to Somalia Ilhan Abdullahi Omar? After all, the current President of Somalia, President Abdullahi was also a refugee and has US Citizenship too and he decided he was smart enough to go back and is trying to fix the broken, crime infested and deadly place which he and Omar claim to be from.

Omar (assuming that is her real name) took offense to that and has played the tiny violin for day, complaining that Trump’s words are “offensive” and “racist”. However, Ilhan Omar is a hypocrite, or maybe, based on her logic, she’s a racist!

Trump Campaign Releases Ad Calling Out the Jihad Squad’s Far-Left Radicalism:

‘Meet the Real Leaders of the Democrat Party’ [VIDEO]

The ad shows Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during their moments of peak leftist insanity that’s become part of their radical brand since taking power in January.

Last week, President Trump called out the radical socialist lawmakers as a “very racist group of troublemakers” who are dragging the “once-great Democrat Party far left.”

“The ‘Squad’ is a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart. They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the Border…And are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!” Trump tweeted last week.

JERUSALEM (AP) — With a push from President Donald Trump, Israel on Thursday barred two Muslim-American congresswomen from entering the country for a visit, an extraordinary step bringing the longtime U.S. ally into Trump’s domestic fight against political rivals at home.

The U.S. president is essentially relying on Israel to retaliate against two freshman lawmakers, Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, who are both outspoken critics of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. They are also part of the “squad” of liberal newcomers -- all women of color -- whom Trump has labeled the face of the Democratic Party as he runs for reelection.

AIPAC condemns...

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on Thursday broke with Israel's decision to bar Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) from visiting the country, saying "every member of Congress should be able to visit."

"We disagree with Reps. Omar and Tlaib’s support for the anti-Israel and anti-peace BDS movement, along with Rep. Tlaib’s calls for a one-state solution. We also believe every member of Congress should be able to visit and experience our democratic ally Israel firsthand," AIPAC tweeted Thursday.

. . . The statement follows Israel's announcement that the House Democrats will be prevented from entering the country as part of a planned trip over their support for the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

Israel's announcement came shortly after President Trump urged the country to bar the progressive lawmakers from entering.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended his country’s decision, citing an Israeli law that prohibits entry into the country for individuals who support a boycott of Israel.

“As a vibrant and free democracy, Israel is open to any critic and criticism, with one exception: Israel’s law prohibits the entry of people who call and operate to boycott Israel, as is the case with other democracies that prevent the entry of people whose perception harms the country," he said in a statement posted to his official Facebook page.

Omar and Tlaib have been vocal advocates of Palestinian rights and BDS. They were among 17 Democrats to vote against a bill to oppose BDS last month.
