Take That, Jack!  TWTR in the gun sights

  • GOP Congressman Devin Nunes Launches Massive $250 Million Lawsuit Against Twitter for Shadow-Banning Conservatives
  • California GOP Rep. Devin Nunes filed a major lawsuit seeking $250 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages against Twitter and a handful of its users on Monday, accusing the social media site of "shadow-banning conservatives" to secretly hide their posts, systematically censoring opposing viewpoints, and totally "ignoring" lawful complaints of repeated abusive behavior.

In a complaint filed in Virginia state court on Monday, obtained by Fox News, Nunes claimed Twitter wanted to derail his work on the House Intelligence Committee, which he chaired until 2019, as he looked into alleged and apparent surveillance abuses by the government. Nunes said Twitter was guilty of "knowingly hosting and monetizing content that is clearly abusive, hateful and defamatory – providing both a voice and financial incentive to the defamers – thereby facilitating defamation on its platform."

The lawsuit alleged defamation, conspiracy and negligence, as well as violations of the state's prohibition against "insulting words" -- effectively fighting words that tend towards "violence and breach of the peace." The complaint sought not only damages, but also an injunction compelling Twitter to turn over the identities behind numerous accounts he said harassed and defamed him.

TIM POOL scores again- Nails CNN

Someone’s DEFENSIVE!

Brian Stelter snaps at Tim Pool after he gives CNN props for admitting they DON’T investigate and LOL

CNN President Jeff Zucker defended the way CNN covered the Trump/Russia investigation by claiming they’re not investigators, they’re reporters and just cover the facts they are basically given.
And it was Brian Stelter who was good enough to share his quote and the story so Tim Pool reached out to Bri and gave CNN mad props … sorta.

Wow. Good on CNN for just coming right out and admitting it.
They don't investigate.
This is what I have been saying, they basically just read press releases and tweets

Helter Stelter's RESONSE

Tim, you're insulting hundreds of hard working journalists. The meaning of the Zucker quote is obvious: He's contrasting federal investigators, who were charged with investigating Russia's 2016 attack, with journalists who were COVERING the federal investigation.
Now they are calling Poor Brian : "TATER"> as in couch potatoe perhaps

GOP Senator Josh Hawley Puts Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Notice: Time for a ‘Third-Party Audit’ of ‘De-Platforming Conservative Voices’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) put Twitter on notice on Wednesday, calling on CEO Jack Dorsey to undergo a third-party audit of its suspension policies.

Conservatives have long complained about seemingly arbitrary suspensions of their accounts — most of which come with no explanation or meaningful ability to appeal. Most recently, the Twitter account for the pro-life movie Unplanned was suspended just as the movie was hitting theaters. When the account was restored, its administrators discovered that nearly 100,000 followers had disappeared. Users (myself included) reported trying to follow the account and immediately being forced to unfollow.

Hawley mentioned the episode in his letter to Jack Dorsey, saying that it raised "yet more questions about your supposed commitment to free speech."

"In light of these events, and in view of Twitter’s history of de-platforming conservative voices, it is time for Twitter to open itself to a third-party audit of how and when the company enforces its suspension policies," Hawley wrote.

The senator, who has been a vocal proponent of investigating big tech companies, said that conservatives who advocate for the "dignity of all persons, regardless of size or age" are used to being treated unfairly by corporations. "But platform companies like Twitter are supposed to rise above that partisan nonsense."

Hawley reminded Dorsey of his 2018 commitment "to serve the public conversation” by “defending freedom of expression as a fundamental human right” at Twitter.

Social media platforms have been given a "sweetheart deal," according to Hawley, which includes "immunity from liability for illegal content posted by third parties." They were given special consideration, he said, because they promised to provide "a forum for a true diversity of political discourse.”

The senator was referring to the telecommunication provisions in federal law that created separate rules for social media platforms that, unlike publishers, are not subject to civil liabilities for posting illegal material.

Hawley said that Twitter has repeatedly "abused" those privileges. "You often refuse to allow pro-life organizations to purchase ads because you deem it 'inflammatory' when these groups advocate for the right to life, but you allow those on the other side to advocate for late-term abortion—a practice opposed by more than 80 percent of Americans," he said.

"And when you 'fully admit' that Twitter’s 'bias … is more left-leaning,' is it any wonder that this kind of political censorship disproportionately harms conservatives?" he asked.

Laura Loomer suing Twitter for banning her, and CAIR for lobbying Twitter to ban her

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer filed a lawsuit Thursday against Twitter following her ban from the platform for comments about Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

Loomer is also suing the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which reportedly “complained to Twitter” about Loomer’s work on the platform prior to her ban. Loomer, renowned for ambush video interviews of Democrat politicians, amassed more than 250,000 followers on Twitter. She was first suspended without clear explanation in the days leading up to the 2018 midterm election, and later banned outright from the social media platform after the election in November during her efforts to expose voter fraud in Florida.

“Ilhan is pro Sharia Ilhan is pro- FGM Under Sharia homosexuals are oppressed & killed. Women are abused & forced to wear the hijab. Ilhan is anti Jewish,” Loomer tweeted, referring to forced genital mutilation (FGM). That tweet was cited as the reason for her ban.

Demonetized: Steven Crowder has been tried and convicted by YouTube of being a conservative

Conservatives fell for a trap. It’s been over a decade in the making and few of us saw it coming until it was too late. To be fair, this trap was actually so well executed and seemingly coordinated that it’s actually impressive how well it worked. Now, the walls that have been around us the whole time are finally starting to close in.

The trap was to believe that even hyper-leftists in the tech industry would be fair when it came to the use of their platforms. By “fair,” I mean they would accept that there are views that differ from their preferred progressive standpoints and those views are worthy of being expressed on their platforms. For a time, this was true. But as the giants such as Google in search, Facebook and Twitter in social media, and YouTube for video grew to the point that they’re essentially unchallenged and virtually invincible, they’ve now changed their tune. The worst crime anyone who uses their services can commit is to be conservative.

Steven Crowder is learning it again and again with the most recent incident happening today.

Many of us make our living by creating and sharing content online. Unfortunately, the platforms that we work on, including YouTube, have revealed in recent years that there is a proper way of thinking in their eyes, and if you dare to offer a perspective that challenges this proper way of thinking, you’re a horrible human being who doesn’t deserve to live, let alone earn a penny from them.

Like I said, this was a brilliant trap, properly executed over the years to draw us in and then shut us down once we became dependent and their competition was suppressed. That’s where we are today.

. . .

leaves us with two options.

Option 1: Fight for our right to be right

This is what most of us do today. We produce content and then fight tooth-and-nail to get it the traffic it needs. Once it gets the traffic, we then have to fight to keep it monetized. It’s a daily grind, but it’s effective to some extent. Nevertheless, it’s not only a waste of time but it’s a benefit to the people who are trying to suppress us in the first place. YouTube makes money off Crowder’s content whether they pay him for it or not. That’s the nature of YouTube. If he sucks people onto the platform to laugh as he “owns libs,” there’s a good chance those people he sucked in will then watch other videos with ads.

Just because they demonetize his content doesn’t mean they’re not making money off it.

So if option 1 sucks, then what’s the alternative?

Option 2: Pick up our balls and take them to a new playground

This is the option that invariably gets offered by scholarly Twitter users any time something like this happens. But it’s not that easy. I’ve tried multiple ad networks, affiliates, crowdfunding, and even outright begging and it doesn’t yield a fraction of what Google ads deliver. And frankly, that’s not enough either, but it’s more.

For Crowder, whose content thrives on YouTube, it’s not easy for him to become a Vimeo star and expect to reach the same people or get nearly enough money from it. Or any video platform for that matter. I’m not sure what BlazeTV or DailyWire pay, but outside of their paid services, much of there content goes on… YouTube.

Working on a third option

I’ve been reaching out to conservatives about Proper Narrative, LLC. I hope this can help encourage conservative content producers to do what they’re doing by rewarding them beyond their standard revenue sources. It’s still early stage at this point, but one never knows when the right call will come in.

Final Thoughts

Until one of the two (or three) options becomes clearly the best choice, conservatives have to do what we can to support each other. To the digital media world, we’re the enemy. Nobody said being conservative in 2019 would be easy.

James Woods Banned from Twitter Amid Silicon Valley’s Conservative Blacklisting Campaign

James Woods, one of the few conservative stars in Hollywood, has been locked out of his Twitter account for over a week now for “abusive behavior,” once again demonstrating the double standard the tech giant holds when it comes to enforcing rules.

Woods was supposedly kicked off Twitter for making a "Hate Tweet"
When he learned that the Russian Hoax was exposed as a Deep State conspiracy, he wrote;
"HANG THEM ALL!"  (possibly a quote from a movie)
(To which I would be tempted to add: Start with the heads of FB & TWTR)

Adams discusses the banning of James Woods and others...

Anti-Trumper’s are running out of “A” material
Comey’s Dilbert-level complaint about his former boss
NYT labeled me the successful leader of movement to kill HOAX
“Fine People” HOAX is fading away
Social Media companies banning people
Why were they banned?
Social media platforms have become a defacto public utility
Social media is an integral part of life in today’s world
Hate speech…who gets to decide, private companies?
Each company has a bias, that’s normal, expected
President Trump needs to push for a social media censorship solution
“Amnesty day” for social media people that have been banned?
“Social Media Court” to try and legally judge banning people?
Biden lies, how many will be discovered before a lie-count begins?
What would happen if the entire news industry went away?
No safe-guard function of the press?

This video is interesting in many ways, but one comment jumped out...
At just before 7 minutes in, Tim reveals that a Social Media person had told him:

I Need To Quit, Channel Announcement And Changes Coming

And so to grow their audience Social Media networks have worked to ramp up the anger
of SJW females, in order to get shares and bigger audiences.
No wonder we have so much anti-Trump, anti-male garbage on Social media.
These networks do not care about truth, they just want more hits

Their AGENDA ... drives their focus

No wonder the “mainstream” media isn’t covering the Colorado STEM school shooting: It points to an illegal alien and a transgender who hates Trump and Christians

“Isn’t it interesting how, just two days after the shooting in Colorado, the suspects have remained relatively unmentioned? This is a drastic departure from every other shooting. The mainstream media aren’t even trying to hide their blatant bias. If the facts don’t fit their narrative, they get left out — even if it’s a tragedy,” said Miller, host of “The White House Brief.”

Since this shooting does not inspire SJW hatred against straight white (non-Jewish) males they will not cover it
