Border Crisis. Trump wants a Deal to get the Wall

Joe Rogan: To Deny Border Crime Is ‘Foolish’

Screen-Shot-2019-01-11-at-10.56.17-PM-e1

Podcaster Joe Rogan offered a practical take on the government shutdown, which is predicated on President Donald Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion in funding for the southern border Wall.

Trump reserves the national emergency option to build the Wall using Department of Defense resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, but so far has not used that option. If Democrats feel that Trump is not likely to use this leverage, his leverage would decrease. Trump is also looking at other options to fund the Wall, sending his Cabinet secretaries on a search for Wall funds.

Rogan said that ideally he would like a situation where people are able to go anywhere without a passport, but he gave a strong statement on border crime.

“I get the argument. Certainly you don’t want to bring in criminals and murderers. You don’t want drug dealers making their way into this country and starting gang violence and all that stuff. Yes, you’re absolutely right. To deny that is pretty f—ing foolish,” Rogan said.

A national emergency for the bankruptcy of the united states and failure of the dollar will be declared first.

Credit where credit is due. Handling bankrupcies of things no one ever thought could go bankrupt (e.g. Casinos) is one of the few things Trump is actually good at.

However, Mexicanos will be the least of Querecanos concerns at that point. Aside from the unwillingness of Mexicanos to offer Querecanos asylum post federal union. Queers not welcome in Mexico.

Trump Meets With Senior White House Officials About Infrastructure Plan

President Trump's battle with the Democratic leadership over funding for his border wall has been perhaps the most rancorous political fight since the dawn of his administration - eclipsing even the contentious confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. And though the government remains shut down with no accord in sight, the president and a coterie of his senior advisors are already planning to revive their push for Trump's promised infrastructure package - one of the few issues where Democrats and Republicans are expected to find a measure of comity.

But At this point I'd wager virtually no one believes "the wall" is the reason 100s of thousands of former united states employees are not getting paid and more and more government programs are closing by the day.

Not that the penny has dropped as to what the real reason is yet, but it is starting to get more mentions.

more than a trillion dollars of spending cuts this year to stay solvent isn't a small amount of money. even by querecano standards.

‘Save The Dreamers’: Leftist Washington Post Urges Democrats To Take Trump’s Border Security Wall Deal

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and congressional Democrats are losing one big voice in their opposition to President Donald Trump’s push for a border wall: The Washington Post’s editorial board.

WaPo noted in a Sunday editorial reasons why Pelosi should rebuke the president’s most recent offer to temporarily extend protections for the so-called Dreamers. But the paper eventually explained that taking the deal would ultimately help those who came here through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“He should not be rewarded for having taken the government hostage. Any piece of a wall would reinforce his hateful, anti-immigrant rhetoric,” WaPo noted. “He’s unreliable, having made and withdrawn similar offers in the past.”

WaPo’s editorial board has criticized Trump in the past for what its writers call pushing immigration policies that would “cripple the economy.” It’s taking a different approach now. Sunday’s editorial explains why young people who came to the U.S. through the Obama-era program are in peril of being deported.

If nothing happens soon, then the Dreamers could get the short end of the stick, WaPo noted.

“If no deal is reached, the Supreme Court is likely at some point to end that dispensation, as Mr. Trump has demanded, and they will be sent back into the shadows, or to countries of which they have no memory.”

. . . His deal included $800 million in urgent humanitarian assistance, $805 million in new drug detection technology and three years of legal relief from deportation for DACA recipients in exchange for the $5.7 billion for “strategic deployment of physical barriers”

Pelosi was not impressed. She preemptively shot down the proposal in a statement before the president’s announcement.

Pirro to Pelosi: ‘Are You Working for Americans or Illegals … or Is It That You Don’t Give a Damn?’

During Saturday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Justice,” host Jeanine Pirro hammered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her show’s “Opening Monologue” segment.

Pirro suggested that Pelosi and other congressional Democrats cared more about illegal immigrants than Americans and called her a “hypocrite” and a “political operative.”

“So let me see if I understand this: An American mother shows a picture of a child murdered by an illegal, and Chuck Schumer and his gang they come out and show pictures of federal employees. Is there a moral equivalency here? Are you folks, schizo? Are you working for Americans or illegals? Or is it that you just don’t give a damn? You vacation in Hawaii. Your buddies vacation in Puerto Rico during a shutdown and you plan a jaunt to Europe while federal employees are trying to save every dollar to buy groceries. Admit it — you don’t give a damn.”
