DUMBER than a Dog's Breakfast

If you think & talk like a 12 year old, then 12 years may seem like FOREVER

Ocasio-Cortez on Millennials: ‘We’re Like the World Is Going to End in 12 Years if We Don’t Address Climate Change’

‘At some point these chronic realities do reach a breaking point’

VIDEO

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in gen z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. You’re biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our world war II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3000 Americans died last year, how are we saying let’s take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system? How are we saying take it easy, the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of. That at some point this chronic reality do reach a breaking point and I think for our generation it reached that, I wished I didn’t have to be doing every post, but sometimes I just feel like people aren’t being held accountable. Until, we start pitching in and holding people accountable, I’m just gonna let them have it.”

The Democrats’ ‘Green New Hoax’

Here’s a scoop for you: The so-called “Green New Deal,” onto which 70 leading Democrats have signed, doesn’t exist. Like a salesman parked at a corner hawking a small bottle filled with a mystery substance that will cure everything from insomnia to cancer, the Democratic Party is promoting a fraud-work quilt promising a cure for all.

In reality, this hoax targeting the liberal base, GenXers and progressives, is nothing more than an elaborate Get Out the Vote organizing effort. As a former community organizer, I respect that work when it’s about real proposals, actual legislation and serious ideas.

Yet, courtesy of a letter being sent by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York to Democratic colleagues in the House of Representatives, we now know that there is no package of implementable ideas or policy. What they do have is a press release word salad of platitudes, slogans and talking points.

Bloomberg reported on the letter, with a revealing headline: “Ocasio-Cortez begins to sketch out details of ‘Green New Deal.’ ” That confirms the thing Democrats, including Sens. Kamala D. Harris of California and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, have endorsed isn’t even formulated yet. As Winston Churchill might note, it’s a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. It would be more honest to call it the “Green New Hoax.”

Pelosi is "Wise" enough to not like Ocaztro's Crazy GREEN New Deal

(AOC is dumber than a dog's breakfast. & she makes Peloser look smart.)

Pelosi Loses Control of Narrative

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday mocked the “New Green Deal” just hours before its outline was unveiled — the latest example of the Democrat Party’s widening split between establishment lawmakers and its progressive wing on how to tackle “climate change.”

Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are calling for a Green New Deal intended to transform the United States economy to combat climate change and create thousands of jobs in renewable energy.

The freshman lawmaker and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) are teaming up on the plan, which aims to eliminate all carbon emissions in U.S. energy production by 2030. A joint resolution drafted by Ocasio-Cortez and Markey sets a goal to meet “100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources,” including dramatic increases in wind and solar power.

Despite a cold reception from top Congressional Democrats, several Democrat presidential hopefuls have embraced the idea of a “Green New Deal” without saying exactly what it means.

Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement that the plan will create “unprecedented levels of prosperity and wealth for all while ensuring economic and environmental justice and security.” She calls for a “World War II-scale mobilization” that includes high-quality education and health care, clean air and water and safe, affordable housing.

The resolution does not include a price tag, but some Republicans predict it would cost in the trillions of dollars. They denounced the plan at House hearings on climate change on Wednesday.

The Green New Deal would be paid for “the same way we paid for the original New Deal, World War II, the bank bailouts, tax cuts for the rich and decades of war — with public money appropriated by Congress,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed.

If Not Inconsistent, she would be... (A Liar?)

Dramatic Flip-Flop: Democrat Alexandria Occasional-Cortex Tells NPR One Thing, Tells Chuck Todd The Opposite — Just Hours Later

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) lied about her "Green New Deal" on Thursday,

saying that it is not a "massive government takeover" hours after admitting the exact opposite.

During an interview on MSNBC, Ocasio-Cortez criticized the political Right, saying that the Right was trying to "mischaracterize" her plan.

"One way that the Right does try to mischaracterize what we’re doing as though it’s like some kind of massive government takeover," Ocasio-Cortez said. "Uh, obviously what we're trying to do is, well obviously it's not that because what we're trying to do is release the investments from the federal government to mobilize those resources across the country."

Yet this morning, during a radio interview with NPR, Ocasio-Cortez said the exact opposite.

"As you know, congresswoman, one reason that people who are politically conservative are skeptical of efforts to combat climate change is that it sounds to them like it requires massive government intervention which they just don’t like," host Steve Inskeep said. "Are you prepared to put on the table that yes, they’re actually right, what this requires is massive government intervention?"

It is NOT A "TAKEOVER"  cuz nice "well-meaning" people like AOC (& other diimwits & childen) would be in charge of the government as it implements the great principles behind the plan.  What could oossibly go wrong?

How about rebutting some of these Rebuttal points, Sparks

Bravo! If you read only one thread shredding the Green New Deal, make it this one

Epic Twitter Thread That Shreds Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ Communist Takeover Point-By-Point

By the line:
1) socialized medicine
2) government housing
3) socialism by way of the government taking over the private industries through excessive regulation
4) Welfare state. If we are going to pay those to are unwilling to work, where is the incentive TO work?
==

1) So we are going to increase deficit spending even more than we already have? This is not sustainable.

Guess what @AOC? It still has to be repaid by collecting taxes!
2) Yes, this is PRECISELY the question. How in the hell DO we pay for it?

1) So if EVERY BILLIONAIRE and EVERY COMPANY poured EVERY DIME into this, it wouldn't even come close to paying your nearly $41 Trillion price tag. That is sheer insanity.
2) A123-Bankrupt, Solyndra-Bankrupt, Amonix Solar-Bankrupt, Bright Source-Bankrupt, many, many more.

1) So a massive increase in the size of the EPA to go around testing everything that might fart, smoke, burn, etc.? Sounds like a great use of taxpayer money. Another major increase in government regulation as well.

1) See failed investments above for a few examples.
2) Social costs of emissions? Seriously? Who writes this drivel?
3) "Free" education! Yay!
4) Because unions almost exclusively back Dems.
5) Guaranteed jobs for all those people who won't be working!
6) Unions - meh.

1) This seems eerily similar to what @POTUS is already doing. It's almost like a #MAGA moment!
2) Unfair competition = no competition due to government control
3) "MUH FREE STUFF!"

At a price tag of $41T dollars, the only thing "green" about this deal is the kind that will be lining the pockets of the politicians and elites. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. That's the beauty of socialism. You think it's great, until it works.

because youve been a good boy.

nope. single payer not for profit healthcare costs you less and gives you more.

for the simple reason that right now some 60% of the health insurance premiums americans pay goes to buying the board members expensive yachts in Monaco, rather than providing healthcare.

and single payer economies control lower prices.

which is why americans pay $120 for the exact same dose of insulin that costs the uk tax payer $5.

2 hours ago, drbubb said:

2) Social costs of emissions?

Americans already pay for the social costs of emissions.

with their lives via the pollution.

required reading: economic externalities (victim snowflakes that prefer to hire a laywer to sue the water companies for the lead in the water that killed them can skip this and just watch

)

2 hours ago, drbubb said:

3) "Free" education! Yay!

you dont tax people because they are educated you tax them because they are rich.

do you know what happens when you tax people for being educated - everyone ends up uneducated and poor.

dont believe me?

just look at america.

2 hours ago, drbubb said:

4) Because unions almost exclusively back Dems

because republicans do not believe in paying people for the work they do, and therefore hate unions that give people who work some say in how much they get paid for their work.

Amazon loves the republican party.

Not that the democratic party is any better, but they do at least pretend to listen, rather than doing everything they can to outlaw their existance in the first place.

5) Guaranteed jobs for all those people who won't be working!

If you can have full employment to kill people (wwii) why cant you have full employment to make people healthy.

Thats why the nhs is the single largest employer in the entire world.

or at least it was a few years ago, tories are still working hard on getting j6p in the uk to pay for their big yachts in monaco.

Right. So it will be "cheaper" then...

Paid for out of 'efficiencies' & run by a wonderful govt workers

Utopia is "Good for All" = Madness for everyone

Not Crazy at all! The real Democrat agenda unveiled: Murder the babies, demolish all buildings, ban guns, block the sun, kill free speech, ban all airplanes and declare a new UTOPIA

Yes, Ocasio-Cortez is clinically insane. But her ideas — which are almost all rooted in communism and fascism — are shockingly popular among the drooling left-wing idiots who now run the tech giants, the media and the U.S. House of Representatives. If these people are allowed to gain power over the country, they will plunge America into an era of unprecedented human suffering, starvation and destitution.

oh. you mistake me.

americans can not have it.

because the same guys and gals who get paid the $120 for the single dose of insulin.

write american law and chose its president.

which is absolutely why "america cant afford it" is 100% accurate.

the only viable option americans have for a better life is to emmigrate - to almost any other country. but given the number of us passports in issue and the rise in knowledge of these facts is why Mexico should pay for the wall. asap. the mass migration of white trash america is highly likely in our lifetime. better for everyone if they get left to rot in fema camps.
