If you are very successful OCastro wants to enslave you ! (esp. if you are Male)

You will get tax-farmed to pay for their wild agenda, helping "the oppressed"

“Do you call yourself a radical?” Cooper questioned.

“Yeah,” Ocasio-Cortez said, “you know if that’s what radical means, call me a radical.”
OCASIO-CORTEZ: Raise Tax Rates to 70%!

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is going to save America with a “Green New Deal,” and she’s not opposed to jacking taxes up to 70 percent to push “a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now.”

The 29-year-old socialist sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper for an interview set to air this weekend in which she compares herself to Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and other so-called “radicals” in American history.

“You’re talking about zero carbon emissions, zero use of fossil fuels within 12 years,” Cooper said. “How is that possible? You’re talking about everybody having to drive an electric car?”

“It’s going to require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?”

Cooper pointed to the biggest obvious barrier – money, but “Alex from the Bronx” has an answer for that problem, as well.

“There’s an element where, yeah, people are going to have to start paying their fair share in taxes,” she said. “You look at our tax rates back in the 60s and when you have a progressive tax rate system, your tax rate, say, from zero to $75,000 may be 10 percent or 15 percent, etceteria.

“But once you get to like the tippy-tops, on your ten-millionth dollar, sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60 or 70 percent,” Ocasio-Cortez explained.

Essentially, the more successful businesses and individuals are, the more they’re punished by the government.

“It means that as you climb up this ladder, you should be contributing more,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

What You Should Know About Commie Pinko Alexander Ocasio-Cortez’s Anti-American Socialist Vision for America

At the foundation of all of Ocasio-Cortez’s reforms is her commitment to socialism, an economic system that in its most utopian form aims to eliminate nearly all private property and puts the “collective”—which, in a democratic society, is simply the majority of voters—in charge of every aspect of life, including the education of your children, the extent of your rights to practice your religion, and your most important health care decisions.

. . .Ocasio-Cortez backs creating a radical government-funded program that would make public colleges tuition-free and “cancel” the $1.5 trillion in outstanding student loan debt, and she pledged during her campaign to support strict gun-control measures and plans to make housing “a human right.”

How does Ocasio-Cortez plan to pay for these massive programs? In a “60 Minutes” interview with Anderson Cooper that will air on Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez suggested that some of her plans could be paid for by raising taxes on the wealthy to rates as high as 70 percent. But even that huge tax increase wouldn’t be nearly enough to pay for her numerous policy proposals, which is why Ocasio-Cortez has suggested the United States create a system of new publicly-owned banks that the government could use to run up the national debt. She has also called for printing money to pay for her socialist reforms.

Ocasio-Cortez wants to impose her radical, socialist vision on every single American citizen, a fact most of those in the mainstream media who have spent the past several months fawning over her refuse to tell the public.

Ocasio-Cortez mocks aging Dems...
Party elders try to rein in!

  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a 29-year-old freshman congresswoman
  • The Democrat is a socialist who wants steep tax hikes and socialized medicine
  • 76-year-old former Democratic VP nominee Joe Lieberman says the party will lose voters in the long term if her ideas become its bread and butter
  • 'I certainly hope she’s not the future and I don’t believe she is,' Lieberman said
  • Ocasio-Cortez fired back on Twitter:  'New party, who dis?'

'Who dis?' is a common response to a text message from an unknown number. Among millennials in the smartphone generation, the phrase has morphed into a snarky tool for rejecting someone by framing their approach as a mistake.

Doug Casey on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Justin: Doug, AOC has been getting a lot of press lately. What are your thoughts on her? Specifically, what do you think of her platform and her idea for a Green New Deal?

Doug: Most likely she’s the future of the Democratic Party – and of the U.S. Why? She’s cute, vivacious, charming, different, outspoken, and has a plan to Make America Great Again. And she’s shrewd. She realized she could win by ringing doorbells in her district, where voter turnout was very low, and about 70% are non-white. There was zero motivation for residents to turn out for the tired, corrupt, old hack of a white man she ran against.

She’s certainly politically astute – but doesn’t seem very intelligent. In fact, she’s probably quite stupid. But let’s define the word stupid, otherwise, it’s just a meaningless pejorative – name-calling.

But in fact it doesn’t seem like she has a very high IQ. I suspect that if she took a standardized IQ test, she’d be someplace in the low end of the normal range. But that’s just conjecture on my part, entirely apart from the fact a high IQ doesn’t necessarily correlate with success. Besides, there are many kinds of intelligence – athletic, aesthetic, emotional, situational…

A high IQ can actually be a disadvantage in getting elected. Remember it’s a bell-shaped curve; the “average” person isn’t terribly smart, compounded by the fact half the population has an IQ of less than 100. And they’re suspicious of anyone who’s more than, say, 15 points smarter than they are.

However, there are better ways to define stupid than “a low score on an IQ test,” that apply to Alexandria. Stupid is the inability to not just predict the immediate and direct consequences of actions, but especially the indirect and delayed consequences of your actions.

She’s clearly unable to do that. She can predict the immediate and direct consequences of the policies she’s promoting – everybody getting excited about liberating all other people’s wealth that just seems to be sitting around. Power to the People, and Alexandria! But she’s unable to see the indirect and delayed consequences of her policies – which I hope I don’t have to explain to anyone now reading this.

If you promise people unicorns, lollipops, and free everything, they’re going to say, “Gee, I like that, let’s do it.” She’s clever on about a third grade level.

But there’s an even better definition of stupid. Namely, “an unwitting tendency to self-destruction.” All the economic ideas that she’s proposing are going to wind up absolutely destroying the country.

It’s as if she thinks that what’s happened recently in Venezuela, Zimbabwe – not to mention Mao’s China, the Soviet Union, and a hundred other places – was a good thing.

That’s my argument for her being stupid. And ignorant as well. But perhaps I’m missing something. After all, Karl Marx was both highly intelligent, and extremely knowledgeable; he was actually a polymath. The same can be said of many academics, left-wing economists, and socialist theoreticians.

So perhaps a desire for “socialism” isn’t just an intellectual failing. It’s actually a moral failing.

ye olde "i don't agree with you therefore you stupid" argument.

More than one step below arguing Americas can't have healthcare because they are poorer than a ethopian village that doesn't even have the wheel.

Just as morally bankrupt.

As Ocasio-Cortez Flubs Facts, Leftist NY Mag Suddenly Finds Fact Checks Are Dangerous

New York magazine’s Eric Levitz spent nearly 3,000 words making excuses for the many factual errors committed so far by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the gaffe-prone young socialist representing part of Brooklyn, in “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Critique of Fact-Checking Is Valid.”

Levitz excused the verbal missteps in the name of a higher progressive morality while cheerfully dismissing the vaunted media “fact checking” that was until last week so vital in keeping the Donald Trump administration in line. Now, after some modest media pushback on some of Ocasio-Cortez’s wackier claims, especially in the Washington Post, fact checking is suddenly unfair to the left.

Levitz led with her “innocent mistake” regarding an article on Pentagon accounting errors she read in the hard-left Nation. He spun mightily on her behalf.

Confronted with her month-old mistake, Ocasio-Cortez replied, “If people want to really blow up one figure here or one word there, I would argue that they’re missing the forest for the trees. I think that there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.”

I dont think they did find them "dangerous" at all.

given non of the disputed facts undermine the arguments that healthcare should be a basic human right and that being so depandant on oil as a primary energy source isnt good for the future of an economy.

However I do think Querecanos will surely find that in the real world their new Kylo Ren figure will lose and Querecano will inevitably end up a failed state.

DUMB on Steroids

NYVARR8.png

I a world of Dumb and Dumber, the one brain celled is Queen... or at least Congressperson

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the voice of an ignorant generation

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s ignorance of economics and foreign affairs typifies her generation. Despite holding expensive degrees in both Economics and International Relations from Boston University, Ocasio-Cortez threw up her hands in exasperation during an interview on Margaret Hoover’s “Firing Line” program, laughing, “I’m not the expert on geopolitics.” Fortunately for her, in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king; and among a blithely ignorant generation, the lightly educated activist is congresswoman.

The seed of Millennial miseducation, which grew into the Tree of the Lack of Knowledge as activist educators substituted ideology for scholarship, is finally bearing its rotten fruit. According to one survey, one third of Millennials believe President George W. Bush killed more people than Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. Over 40 percent of Millennials have never heard of Mao Zedong; another 40 percent and 30 percent, respectively, are unfamiliar with Vladimir Lenin and Che Guevara. Two-thirds of Millennials cannot identify Auschwitz, and 22 percent have never heard of the Holocaust, twice the percentage of American adults on average.

Millennials might not know much, but according to a 2016 Harvard survey, they know they don’t support capitalism, with 51 percent of young adults rejecting economic freedom.

Ocasio-Cortez passed over for influential House committee

WASHINGTON — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t get a seat on the powerful tax writing committee where she sought to push her progressive agenda of Medicare for All, free college tuition and a green new deal.

Instead, the open downstate New York slot on the House Ways and Means Committee went to a moderate Democrat, Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi, a former CPA, attorney and county executive.

Suozzi will assume the committee seat of Rep. Joe Crowley, the Queens Democrat Ocasio-Cortez defeated last year in a stunning upset.

Ocasio-Cortez sought a spot on the committee—which is usually off limits to freshman reps – with the backing of progressive groups that pushed for a slate of fresh-faced candidates to earn posh assignments.

Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib made a play for Appropriations, but she too was passed over.

Progressive Pandering - Don't Be So Sure Hyperinflation Can't Hit The U.S.

Discussions of big government spending programs often revolve around the question of how to pay for them. For example, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez touted her proposal for a 70 percent tax rate on income above $10 million by saying it would help pay for the Green New Deal, a broad package of environmental and economic initiatives.

big government programs can only be implimented if they pay for themselves (no tax necessery)

Taking healthcare for example, obvious running it "not for profit" delivers more high quality healthcare than running it for profit. Its why US healthcare is among the worst in the world.

But it cant pay for itself in America because America bankrupted itself losing wars for the last 40 or more years. (which from an economic pov, are just a long list of failed large government programs)
