‘Creepy Line’ Film Exposing Google and Facebook Now Streaming

A new film “The Creepy Line,” which contends Google and Facebook pose a threat not only to privacy but to the economy and elections, is now available for purchase on Amazon.com and streaming on Amazon Prime.

Along with showing how the big tech companies “know more about you than your closest relative or friend,” the documentary from Wandering Foot Productions features peer-reviewed research showing how the data can be used to manipulate opinions about products, services and politicians.

“We may have signed-up for these services, but I doubt anyone expected their data and search habits could or would be used to manipulate them,” said producer M.A. Taylor.

Debuting as President Trump raises the profile of the issue, the film contends Google has crossed its executive chairman’s self-described “creepy line,” not only invading the privacy of millions of users but using its monopolistic stature to suppress conservative views and influence elections.

Peter Schweizer, producer and co-writer of “The Creepy Line,” told WND in an interview last month that Google’s frequent protestations that it provides a “neutral platform” free of bias lack credibility.

INsanity & Hatred at GOOG

A design lead at Google has slammed Republicans in an angry Twitter rant over the nomination of now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“You are finished, @GOP. You polished the final nail for your own coffins. F--K. YOU. ALL. TO. HELL,” wrote Dave Hogue Saturday, in the now-deleted tweet.

“I hope the last images burned into your slimy, evil, treasonous retinas are millions of women laughing and clapping and celebrating as your souls descend into the flames,” he added.

BREAKING UP is Hard to Do?  Or Not? - Let's find out

Big Tech Social Media Leftist Censorship Cabal of Facebook, Google, YouTube, Twitter a Clear and Present Danger to U.S. Freedom

As we’ve documented here many times, Facebook — the site once called “the world’s most dangerous censor” by Breitbart — has repeatedly banned users and yanked pages for extremely questionable reasons, falsely claiming the content violates their nebulous “community standards.”  Meanwhile, other posts which clearly violate their standards have been allowed to stand.

Need proof?  Here you go, and this is just a tiny sampling:

Additionally, Facebook’s algorithms — ostensibly designed to combat so-called “fake news” — have significantly hurt conservative sites like this one while booting liberal propaganda outlets like CNN.

Worse yet, GOP candidates are finding themselves either banned outright or are having their advertising rejected for questionable reasons.

GOOG = LIARs

Google Lied About "Dragonfly" China Censorship Project According To Leaked Transcript

The project, code-named Dragonfly, would blacklist phrases like "human rights," "student protest," and "Nobel Prize," and has resulted in at least seven Google employees quitting for ethical reasons. Other employees have circulated a letter recognizing a "code yellow" emergency, suggesting that the Dragonfly initiative violates Google's ethical code, which states that the company will not build or deploy technologies "whose purpose contravenes widely accepted principles of international law and human rights," according to The Intercept.

The project has also drawn criticism from human rights groups, congressional legislators and Vice President Mike Pence - who called on the search engine giant to "immediately end development of the Dragonfly app that will strengthen the Communist Party’s censorship and compromise the privacy of Chinese customers."

Google, meanwhile, lied in their attempts to downplay the project.

Christie-Lee McNally: Google Does Not ‘Worry About Legislation’ Because They ‘Bought’ Congress

Christie-Lee McNally, executive director of Free Our Internet, warned of large technology companies’ procurement of political influence via lobbying efforts in Washington, DC. She offered her remarks in a Thursday interview with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily.

Free Our Internet is a non-profit organization describing itself as an opponent of the “tech-left” and its political censorship of “conservative speech online.”

They control over 90 percent of the internet, so they don’t need to capitulate to us, they don’t need to capitulate to the Senate [or] the president. They don’t need to capitulate … because they’ve bought them all. The amount they pay in lobbyists — if you look at FEC reports and how much they pay in lobbyists [and in] Washington, DC, they don’t have to worry about legislation.

“Clearly they lied last month when they went up there,” said McNally of Twitter and Facebook executives’ denial of political censorship across their digital platforms during testimony before congressional committees.

. . . McNally praised Breitbart News coverage of threats to free speech and expression posed by the growing power of technology companies under left-wing management. She highlighted Breitbart News’s recent publication of a leaked 84-page document detailing some of Google’s political censorship efforts.

“I want to thank you guys for getting this document and informing people of what we have been screaming for a couple of years, now,” said McNally. “[People have been saying], ‘You guys are crazy. This is not happening.’ We watched the hearings and we talked about back in April and May and we were told, ‘This is just a conspiracy,’ and all of what we have been saying is now in our hands, proof that what we’ve been saying is true.”

Google Search Competitor ‘DuckDuckGo’ Reaches 30 Million Searches a Day

Privacy-based Google Search competitor DuckDuckGo has reached 30 million searches on its engine per day.

According to DuckDuckGo’s traffic page, the search engine’s daily search record is now 30,602,556 searches.

As of writing, 22,938,106,279 searches have been made in total through DuckDuckGo since its launch in 2008. DuckDuckGo’s popularity has been slowly increasing over the years, with 2017 being its most popular year yet.

. . . “To make any real progress in advancing data privacy this year, we have to start doing something about Google and Facebook. Not doing so would be like trying to lose weight without changing your diet. Simply ineffective,” declared DuckDuckGo CEO Gabriel Weinberg in an op-ed for CNBC this year. “The impact these two companies have on our privacy cannot be understated.”

Facebook Shareholders Back Proposal to Remove Fascist Mark Zuckerberg as Chairman

Facebook-shareholders-back-proposal-to-r

Several public funds that hold shares in Facebook Inc on Oct. 17, backed a proposal to remove Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg as chairman, saying the social media giant mishandled several high-profile scandals.

State treasurers from Illinois, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania, and New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, co-filed the proposal. They joined hedge fund Trillium Asset

In 2017, a similar proposal to appoint an independent chair was voted down.

In opposing the proposal, Facebook said an independent chair could “cause uncertainty, confusion, and inefficiency in board and management function and relations.”

Zuckerberg has about 60 percent voting rights, according to a company filing in April.

Management, which bought it to the table in June.

The proposal, set to be voted on at Facebook’s annual shareholder meeting in May 2019, is asking the board to make the role of chair an independent position.

“Facebook plays an outsized role in our society and our economy. They have a social and financial responsibility to be transparent–that’s why we’re demanding independence and accountability in the company’s boardroom,” Stringer said.

Midterm Meddling: After Conservative Purge, Democrats Surge on Facebook After Algorithm Changes

Democrat candidates for the Senate and House are vastly outpacing their Republican opponents on Facebook and Facebook-owned Instagram, according to analysis by the New York Times — although it’s impossible to say how much of their upsurge is the result of mass-bans and algorithm changes on the part of Facebook.

The analysis shows a 7.8 million advantage in Facebook interactions for Democrat Senate candidates vs. Republican Senate candidates in a 30-day period ending October 15, and a 2 million advantage in interactions for Democrats fighting House races over the same period.

Only in gubernatorial races do Republicans hold a slight advantage in Facebook interactions — of just 100,000.

Germany urges global tax for digital giants...

rankfurt am Main (AFP) - German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz said in an interview for publication Sunday he backed a global minimum fiscal regime for multinationals as Europe looks to levy tax notably on US tech giants.

"We need a minumum tax rate valid globally which no state can get out of (applying)," Scholz, a social democrat in conservative Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition government, told the "Welt am Sonntag" weekly.

Europe is trying to devise a strategy to tax profits from the likes of Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple and digital platforms such as YouTube and Airbnb which currently manage to keep fiscal exposure to a bare minimum.

Digital platforms "aggravate a problem which we know well from globalisation and which we are trying to counter -- the shifting of profits to fiscally beneficial regions," said Scholz.

. . . Scholz explained he had launched an initiative designed to help states react to so-called fiscal dumping in support of embryonic OECD plans designed to fight tax transparency and cross-border tax evasion.

"We require coordinated mechanisms which prevent the displacement of revenues to tax havens," said Scholz.

UPDATE: ILLEGALS TO VOTE IN SAN FRAN...

President Trump has repeatedly called out Google, Facebook and Twitter for liberal bias. Two weeks until the midterms, it would appear he may have had a point.

Employees of the tech giants have given a total of $2.4 million to House and Senate candidates, according to Federal Election Commission filings. Of that, only $176,000 - less than 8 percent - went to Republicans.

By comparison, in the last midterms in 2014, Google, Facebook and Twitter workers gave a total of $838,000 to congressional candidates, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Of that, $679,000 went to Democrats and $259,000 went to Republicans.

In July, President Trump accused Twitter of “shadow banning” prominent Republicans. “Not good,” he tweeted. He also accused Google in a series of tweets in August of playing up negative articles about him in search results.

Exclusive – Brad Parscale: Big Tech Is Meddling with Free Speech… and Elections

brad-parscale-tech-censors-getty-640x480

The biggest of the Big Tech companies are quickly positioning themselves as the internet’s thought police, threatening to stamp out one of America’s most cherished freedoms — the right to free speech.

The internet has clearly evolved into the public square of the 21st century. Over the last couple of election cycles, it’s become the number one source for sharing and discussing political and social ideas.

Unfortunately, Big Tech monsters like Google and Facebook have become nothing less than incubators for far-left liberal ideologies and are doing everything they can to eradicate conservative ideas and their proponents from the internet.

Without any sort of public mandate beyond its own ideological predisposition, the Big Tech leviathan is silencing the silent majority. A leaked internal Google brief with the Orwellian title “The Good Censor” proves this point by laying out the search giant’s plan for controlling the internet.

Google begins the report by echoing the liberal contention that free speech is a “social, economic, and political weapon,” calling it a “utopian” idea that’s no longer practical because internet users are “behaving badly.”

The report portrays President Trump as one of those free speech offenders and labels him as a conspiracy theorist for pointing out — correctly — that Google manipulated search results to favor Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The company also argues that tech companies should distance themselves from the “American tradition” that “prioritizes free speech for democracy, not civility,” and in its place adopt the suppressive “European tradition” that “favors dignity over liberty and civility over freedom” to create “well-ordered spaces for safety and civility.”

Google wants to “police [the] tone” and provide so-called “positive guidelines” (read: don’t go against our views, or else) to create online safe spaces.

Not wanting to be outdone, Google’s sometime-rival, Facebook, just banned dozens of prominent conservative blogs and pro-Trump pages, including one with more than three million followers, less than a month before the midterm elections.

Facebook justified this purge of conservative voices by slapping them with another Orwellian label: “coordinated inauthentic behavior.” It’s unclear whether Facebook would apply that descriptor to its tech cousin Google for recently listing the ideology of the California Republican Party as “nazism.”

What is clear is that Facebook’s election-eve purge has been long in the making. Last year, reporters revealed that radical liberal activist groups have been working with Facebook to crush “propaganda and fake news,” which actually means deleting conservative accounts.

Even Facebook’s removal of 559 pages and 251 accounts wasn’t enough to satisfy its accomplices, who responded by demanding that the social media giant silence what it calls “far-right disinformation pages.” They are especially concerned about right-leaning “meme pages,” which they want purged from the online community simply because they are much more effective than the left-leaning equivalent.

. . .

The internet was once a safe haven for political dissenters. Social media platforms and Google’s predominance as a search engine enabled a digital public square where Americans could go to express their grievances, especially in more recent years. It’s where the silent majority had a voice.

But during the 2016 election, the forgotten men and women of America who turned to social media because they were sick and tired of the establishment swamp in Washington were inundated with pro-Clinton puff pieces when they were just searching for basic facts.

The real and underreported collusion scandal is actually Big Tech’s behind-the-scenes campaign to help Democrats win elections. Though that may not even be the most disturbing thing lurking beneath Silicon Valley’s glass and steel glitz and laid-back, all-organic cafeteria vibe.

Astonishingly, it was recently revealed that Google has also locked arms with China, an ideological soulmate of sorts, to create a censored search engine in the large Communist-controlled nation. Vice President Pence was right when he called on Google to stop aiding a tyrannical government that has killed and tortured dissidents with electric shock, rape, and brutal attacks.

Facebook, long-reluctant to deliver its service to China for fear of getting caught up in censorship and repression, now appears to be strongly considering joining Google in serving that market, too. No great surprise there.

when running in the background - and users are completely unaware

While Google try to reconfigure the app to avoid the issue, users can protect their dat by turning off background data usage.

This feature is located under Settings and Connections and will stop all use of mobile data when an app is not in use.

Alternatively, deleting the app from the phone completely is a drastic solution to the persistent problem.

Trump Campaign Chief Calls Social Media Overlords to the Carpet

Can anyone explain to me the difference between what is doing in 2018 and what we accused Russia of doing in 2016?

Now, with 2018 looming, the tech giants of Silicon Valley have now decided to make their own waves in the nation’s electoral process, and have predictably avoided criticism for this in the mainstream media.

That isn’t sitting well with President Trump’s campaign manager.

Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale told CBS This Morning that members of the Left “weren’t very happy” that Facebook and the other members of the “Palo Alto Mafia” helped elect President Trump.

“I think that when the left found out that Facebook, a tool built by Silicon Valley, helped elect President Trump, they weren’t very happy,” Parscale said. “And so they want to do everything they can to help prevent conservative voices. And I think that you have multiple platforms I call the ‘Palo Alto mafia’ trying to stop that.”

Parscale himself was instrumental in the President’s victory, serving the campaign as its digital media strategist.

Parscale wrote exclusively on Breitbart News that Silicon Valley is meddling with free speech and elections, pointing out: “Unfortunately, Big Tech monsters like Google and Facebook have become nothing less than incubators for far-left liberal ideologies and are doing everything they can to eradicate conservative ideas and their proponents from the internet.”

Just earlier today we reported on yet another symptom of this viral outbreak of fascism, with Twitter permanently suspending conservative accounts over their publication of dry and un-opinionated facts.
