Gaza War Crimes? IsRael - The rogues are at it again

‘Horrific’ Israeli 'war crimes' in Gaza must end now, human rights watchdog says

As the death toll among Palestinian protesters rises in Gaza, Amnesty International has called Israel’s crackdown “deplorable,” and the UN has called for an end to the Israeli military’s “disproportionate” use of force.

“This is another horrific example of the Israeli military using excessive force and live ammunition in a totally deplorable way,” Amnesty International’s Philip Luther said. “This is a violation of international standards, in some instances committing what appear to be wilful killings constituting war crimes.”

Over 2,700 people have been injured, many with live ammunition. The Palestinian health ministry places the death toll at 55.

The casualties come on what has so far been the most violent day of the six-week-long Great March of Return, a demonstration aimed at drawing attention to the Israeli occupation of land claimed by the Palestinians and protesting Israel’s blockade of Palestinian territory.

fooling the people of Gaza - here's the IdF leaflet

DdIWtt1W4AAK0HO?format=jpg&name=small

A United Nations committee on Monday called on Israel to stop using “disproportionate force” against demonstrators, adding that it was “gravely concerned” that innocent people were being targeted. The committee urged the Israeli government to immediately refrain from causing further casualties, ensure medical treatment for injured Palestinians and lift the blockade of the Gaza strip.

BLOODBATH! — Israel Embarks On New War Crimes

I didn’t expect this as I picked up my groceries in the supermarket. “BLOODBATH!” the headline screamed, churning up the hysteria that was now clawing at my throat: “SCORES DEAD, THOUSANDS WOUNDED AS ISRAEL FIRES ON PALESTINIANS PROTESTING OVER TRUMP’S NEW EMBASSY!”

Yes, it was that dreadful Daily Mail again, stirring up trouble against the noble occupiers of Palestine, nice peaceful folk doing their best to defend their stolen land from evil Hamas and the Arab scum in Gaza trying to suggest they had a right to live in their own country.

Israeli troops, I was to learn to my horror and dismay — how could such a noble race behave like this? — had killed at least 55 Palestinians in cold blood and wounded almost 2,000 more during protests in Gaza on Monday. The violence had erupted as Donald Trump’s delectable daughter Ivanka opened the new American embassy in Jerusalem — a move that was calculated to case a global outcry.

Is Israel a psychopath?

There is a lot of talk these days about the psychopaths ruling the world. A study among high executives of large companies, published under the title Snakes in Suits, shows that psychopathic traits are widespread among them.[1] This naturally reflects into collective forms of psychopathy: in The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power, Joel Bakan noted that “corporate behavior is very similar to that of a psychopath.”[2]

Some states also behave like psychopaths among nations. The USA is such a state, with a “pathology of power” (the title of Norman Cousins’s 1987 book) probably related to the degree of psychopathy of the men in charge. Behind the mask of sanity and morality displayed by the US on the world’s stage, there is a “deep state” moved by an insatiable thirst for power and uninhibited by any moral conscience or empathy; this pathological deep state is today in almost complete control of US foreign policy.

Erdogan: UN 'finished' after failing to act over Gaza killings

Erdogan accused Israel of "tyranny" and said Turkey would evacuate those injured from Gaza, where hospital facilities are reportedly at a breaking point.

Israel maintains its forces use of live fire is in line with both domestic and international law, arguing the demonstrations are part of the country's conflict with Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip.

FULL VIDEO: Nikki Haley, US Ambassador To UN, Says 'Jesus' Under Breath, Doesn't Grow Conscience, As U Houston Speech Interrupted By Lengthy Energetic Protest Of Israeli War Crimes | FULL TEXT STATEMENT

FULL LENGTH VIDEO
FULL TRANSCRIPT OF CHANT
FULL TEXT OF OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Houston, WAY TO GO! Haley is obviously trying to act like she's annoyed but too civilized to be anything but polite; at one point, however, she looks around, visibly nervous, like she's checking to make sure people don't actually think bad things about her.

Sorry, Nimrata Haley. Actually, they do.

And what's worse is that more and more and more and more and more people will only agree with them as time passes: History will not regard you kindly.

Change your mind & your loyalties now for best results.

->History will not regard you kindly.

Think that will more likely depend on the role she and her allies have in writing it.

They will hardly write bad things about themselves, will they.

Some Younger Evangelicals Waver in Support for Israel

Generational split reflects concern over Palestinians, spurring outreach by some churches and groups

JERUSALEM—Growing up in evangelical Christian churches, Caleb Fitzpatrick learned quickly to be a steadfast supporter of Israel. From a young age, Mr. Fitzpatrick said, he was taught that Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, “was a hero” and that “Christians are supposed to back Israel on everything.”

But the Tampa, Fla. native, who just finished his junior year at Liberty University, an evangelical school,
has become critical of Israel for what he says is its mistreatment of Palestinians...

It happened before!  There was public outrage against Israel's killing in Gaza - 4 years ago

Robert Kennedy and the Moral Courage we Need in Gaza

Aug 4, 2014
With wisdom and courage, and after a long deliberation, Robert Kennedy turned on the War, and said it was Time to get out. Now is the Time for ALL Americans of conscience to recognize Israel's transgressions against Palestinians. Now is the TIME for US to only back politicians, who have the wisdom to refuse AIPACs campaign funding. And have the courage to demand that the US stop providing any financial support for a country now engaged in war crimes, and genocide... Put an end to it. Stop the War in Gaza.

US Ambassador Slams US, Israeli Media for Gaza Coverage

Massive death tolls from months of Israeli crackdowns in the Gaza Strip have been sparsely covered by the media, particularly in the US. But even where US media outlets have found fault with the killings, US Ambassador David Friedman is expressing anger, saying it’s “not reporting” to cover the killings critically.

Friedman says media coverage that wasn’t supportive of the deaths was “completely superficial,” and that Israeli military officials had assured him that they had to kill all of those Gazans to defend the nation of Israel.

All Gazan Casualties Are Intentional, Not Accidental

On June 1, Israeli snipers murdered 21-year-old voluntary Palestinian paramedic Razan al-Najjar in cold blood – threatening no one, shot in the neck and back, an exploding dum dum bullet destroying her heart, killing her instantly.

Clearly identified as a first-responder medic in the field by her white attire, she was treating wounded Gazans well inside Israel’s repressive border fence when lethally shot – a willful act of murder, nothing accidental about it.

Joint (Arab) List MK Ahmad Tibi called her killing “a heinous war crime.” Neocon extremist US UN envoy Nikki Haley disgracefully blamed Gazans for Israeli high crimes committed against them.

Since Great March of Return protests began on March 30, Israeli snipers killed two Gazan paramedics, wounding 223 others, 29 shot with live fire – individuals clearly identified as medical personnel by their attire.

Poll shows deep divisions between Israelis, American Jews...

JERUSALEM (AP) — An opinion poll published Sunday shows deep divisions between Israelis and American Jews, particularly in relation to President Donald Trump, highlighting the growing rift between the world’s two largest Jewish communities.

The survey of the American Jewish Committee showed 77 percent of Israelis approved of the president’s handling of U.S.-Israel relations, while only 34 percent of American Jews did. Fifty-seven percent of U.S. Jews disapproved, while only 10 percent of Israelis did.

The polarizing Trump recently recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocated the American Embassy there, upending decades of U.S. foreign policy and an international consensus that the city’s fate should be decided through peace negotiations. The Palestinians, who claim east Jerusalem as their future capital, were outraged by the move and cut all contacts with the U.S. in response.

Eighty-five percent of Israelis supported the embassy move, while only 46 percent of American Jews did.

The AJC surveyed 1,000 Israelis and Americans and had a margin of error of 3.1 and 3.9 percent, respectively.

‘The Israeli military said,’ the New York Times reports

According to human rights organizations, the weekly Gaza demonstrations have been overwhelmingly nonviolent. But from day one, Halbfinger and his Times colleagues have recurrently portrayed them as armed confrontations in which Israeli snipers return the fire of protesters. They rely on official Israeli statements that are quoted without demurral, without further investigation, and without independent corroboration from, say, human rights monitors:

Violence erupts as police respond to Palestinian protests against PA in West Bank

Protests in the West Bank descended into violence last night after Palestinian Authority (PA) police attempted to break up demonstrations demonstrating against the PA’s policies in the Gaza Strip.

Riot police arrested journalists and dozens of protesters and fired tear gas and stun grenades into the crowds in Nablus and Ramallah. Security forces in civilian clothing were also present, with many reporting having been beaten, having their cameras and smartphones confiscated, as the new ban on public protests was enforced; the move has been justified by the PA as necessary in the run up to Eid Al-Fitr holiday tomorrow.

The protesters called for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to remove sanctions he imposed on Gaza in an effort to pressure Hamas into handing over control of the Strip, following failed reconciliation talks at the end of last year.
