JUSTICE At Long LAST !  Scumbag McCabe Fired; loses Pension!

Sessions fires ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe days before retirement

180129-andrew-mccabe-stepping-down-featu

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Friday night that he was firing former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, a longtime and frequent target of President Donald Trump’s anger, just two days before his scheduled retirement date.

The move, which had been expected, was made on the recommendation of FBI disciplinary officials and comes ahead of an inspector general report expected to conclude that McCabe was not forthcoming with the watchdog office as it reviewed the bureau’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Sessions said in a statement that investigators “concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor — including under oath — on multiple occasions.”

McCabe immediately disputed the findings in his own statement, saying the firing was part of a Trump administration “war” on the FBI.

“I am being singled out and treated this way because of the role I played, the actions I took, and the events I witnessed in the aftermath of the firing of James Comey,” McCabe said, referring to the former FBI director who was fired by Trump last May.

Though McCabe had spent more than 20 years as a career FBI official, and had played key roles in some of the bureau’s most recent significant investigations, Trump repeatedly condemned him over the last year as emblematic of an FBI leadership he contends is biased against his administration. The White House had said the firing decision was up to the Justice Department but seemed to signal this week that it would welcome the move.

FAKE NEWS !

Officials at the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility had recommended the firing, leaving Justice Department leaders in a difficult situation. Sessions, whose job status has for months appeared shaky under blistering criticism from Trump, risked inflaming the White House if McCabe were to not be fired. But a decision to dismiss McCabe two days before his retirement carried the risk of angering his rank-and-file supporters at the FBI.

. . . “I can tell you that the majority, the vast majority of FBI employees, enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey,” McCabe said.

McCabe was among the officials interviewed to replace Comey as director. That position ultimately went to Christopher Wray.

On Thursday, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters the decision was up to the Justice Department but said “we do think that it is well documented that he has had some very troubling behavior and by most accounts a bad actor and should have some cause for concern.”

Trump calls McCabe’s firing a ‘great day for Democracy’

President Trump took parting shots at fired FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe early Saturday — calling the sacking a “great day for Democracy.”

Just hours after McCabe’s late-night firing by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the president piled on and also took one more swipe at former FBI director James Comey.

“Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI,” the president tweeted at 12:08 a.m.

“Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!”

McCabe had been a favorite target of Trump, who reportedly even went after the fed’s wife – once calling her a “loser.”

Holder is on the List (of targeted criminals) - and he knows it !

Eric Holder to GOP: ‘You want to have a knife fight, we’re gonna do it’

Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder used violent anti-GOP rhetoric in a campaign stop in Wisconsin Thursday, challenging Republicans to a knife fight.

Holder couched his violence in passive-aggressive legalese, saying, “We have to be ready to, you know, not do anything inappropriate, not do anything improper, certainly not do anything unlawful. But to the extent that they want to have a fight, let’s do it. You want to rumble, let’s rumble. You want to have a knife fight, we’re gonna do it.”

holder-fanning-flames-300x154.jpg

Former Attorney General Eric Holder, screen image.

Holder’s statement was reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Heading to the fall elections, Holder said Democrats need to be more disciplined and focused to match Republicans.

“We have to be ready to, you know, not do anything inappropriate, not do anything improper, certainly not do anything unlawful,” he said. “But to the extent that they want to have a fight, let’s do it. You want to rumble, let’s rumble. You want to have a knife fight, we’re gonna do it.”

Holder was in Milwaukee as part of a two-day campaign swing though Wisconsin for Supreme Court candidate Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Rebecca Dallet for the April 3 election against the Republican supported candidate, Sauk County Circuit Judge Michael Screnock. The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is non-partisan but is heavily politicized.

... Holder served as attorney general from 2009 to 2015 and has the distinction of being the first cabinet member in history to be held in contempt of Congress

Let's see who screams the loudest

Brennan is (allegedly) a Liar & Traitor to America - & he is (probably) Going Down!

JohnBrennan-AP-1078x516-702x336.jpg

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on the dismissal of Andrew McCabe, a former FBI deputy director (all times local):

The Associated Press has learned that the recently fired FBI deputy director kept personal memos detailing interactions with President Donald Trump. And they have been provided to the special counsel’s office.

The memos kept by former FBI official Andrew McCabe are similar to the notes compiled by dismissed FBI chief James Comey. They could factor into the special counsel’s investigation into Trump campaign ties to Russia.

The AP learned of McCabe’s notes from a person with direct knowledge of the situation who wasn’t authorized to discuss the notes publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Earlier Saturday, Trump called McCabe’s firing by Attorney General Jeff Sessions “a great day for Democracy.”

In response, former CIA Director John Brennan accused Trump of “venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption.”

Warner calls on Congress to protect Mueller after McCabe’s firing

“Every member of Congress, Republican and Democrat, needs to speak up in defense of the Special Counsel. Now,” Warner wrote in a tweet.

Trump’s personal lawyer, John Dowd, told the Daily Beast that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein should end special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. 160705-clinton-fbi-double-standard-index

Veteran FBI agents say FBI Director James Comey has permanently damaged the bureau’s reputation for uncompromising investigations with his “cowardly” whitewash of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information using an unauthorized private email server.

Feeling the heat from congressional critics, Comey last week argued that the case was investigated by career FBI agents, “So if I blew it, they blew it, too.”

But agents say Comey tied investigators’ hands by agreeing to unheard-of ground rules and other demands by the lawyers for Clinton and her aides that limited their investigation.

“In my 25 years with the bureau, I never had any ground rules in my interviews,” said retired agent Dennis V. Hughes, the first chief of the FBI’s computer investigations unit.

... What’s more, Comey cut a deal to give Clinton a “voluntary” witness interview on a major holiday, and even let her ex-chief of staff sit in on the interview as a lawyer, even though she, too, was under investigation.

Clinton’s interview, the culmination of a yearlong investigation, lasted just 3½ hours. Despite some 40 bouts of amnesia, she wasn’t called back for questioning; and three days later, Comey cleared her of criminal wrongdoing.

“The FBI has politicized itself, and its reputation will suffer for a long time,” Hughes said. “I hold Director Comey responsible.”

Agreed retired FBI agent Michael M. Biasello: “Comey has singlehandedly ruined the reputation of the organization.”

Can you believe a man - whose "pants are on fire" ?

McCabe Gave Interview, Handed Over Trump Memos To Mueller

Update: Well, just as Comey had a personal "leaker" to deliver his Trump-memos to the NYT, so McCabe had found a quick line of communication to the press involving "confidential" matters surrounding the Mueller probe, and Axios reports, McCabe has met with special counsel Robert Mueller's team and has turned over memos detailing interactions with President Trump, "according to a source familiar with the exchange."

Axios' source reveals that the memos include corroboration by McCabe of Comey's account of his own firing by Trump, as well as an account of at least one in-person meeting with Trump, which however considering McCabe was fired for perjury - among other things - may not carry quite as much weight.

McCabe had previously alluded to the memos in the statement after his firing, in which he said: "My testimony to the House Intelligence Committee revealed that I would corroborate former Director Comey’s accounts of his discussions with the President."

* * *

After former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired by the Justice Department late on Friday night just two days before his retirement, because he lied under oath or as AG Sessions said, McCabe "lacked candor - including under oath - on multiple occasions… all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal", McCabe has decided he won't go down quietly in what he has dubbed the Trump administration's "war on the FBI."

McCabe, who briefly led the agency after Director James Comey was fired, said his dismissal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday night was the latest attack on his credibility. He has claimed he's being singled out because of what he witnessed in the aftermath of Comey's ouster.

Of course, some - such as ethics officials belonging to the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility - beg to differ: after all it was they who recommended McCabe's dismissal on Thursday for lying to the Inspector General in the course of a government investigation. As CBS News  justice correspondent Paula Reid noted, McCabe's termination takes place just days before the highly anticipated release of the Inspector General's report which is expected to show that he leaked information with the media about the agency's investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and lied under oath.

Law Prof: Did McCabe Just Throw Comey Under The Bus For Perjury?

Fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe may have just thrown former FBI Director James Comey under the bus - perhaps intentionally.

Recall that McCabe was fired for, among other things, an "improper media disclosure." In other words leaking.

In a Saturday morning appearance on CNN with host Michael Smerconish, Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley suggested that McCabe's statement following his firing "immediately" raised a flag, which may lead to serious consequences for his former boss. McCabe's statement reads in part:

The OIG investigation has focused on information I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor. As Deputy Director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the Director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter.

Turley notes "There was one line in the case statement last night that I immediately flagged. Because he said that he had authority to do this and he conferred with the director - the director at the time was James Comey.

"Now, the problem there is that James Comey said under oath that he never leaked information and never approved a leak," said Turley. "So, if the Inspector General believes this was a leak to the media, it raises serious questions about Comey’s previous testimony and could get him into serious trouble."

FAKE MEMOS?

McCabe's full of it -- like Comey, he wrote "fake memos" to push his agenda

I think everyone can see through his lies - apart from Useful Idiots hooked on CNN lies

“Spent very little time with Andrew McCabe, but he never took notes when he was with me. I don’t believe he made memos except to help his own agenda, probably at a later date. Same with lying James Comey. Can we call them Fake Memos?” Mr. Trump said.

... The president is lobbing new attacks on the probe itself, tweeting early Sunday the investigative team is stacked against him: “Why does the Mueller team have 13 hardened Democrats, some big Crooked Hillary supporters, and Zero Republicans? Another Dem recently added…does anyone think this is fair? And yet, there is NO COLLUSION!”

Trump accuses James Comey of lying to Congress under oath about FBI leaks

- The Washington Times

President Trump accused fired FBI Director James Comey Sunday of lying to Congress when he told lawmakers last year that he never leaked information anonymously to the media or knew anyone else who did.

Referring to a news report about a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Mr. Trump tweeted, “Wow, watch Comey lie under oath to Senator G [Chairman Charles Grassley] when asked ‘have you ever been an anonymous source…or known someone else to be an anonymous source…?’ He said strongly ‘never, no.’ He lied as shown clearly on @foxandfriends.”

Mr. Comey, who was fired by Mr. Trump last year, told the committee in May 2017 that he had never been an anonymous source in news reports about the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server or the probe into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Some analysts are saying that former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was fired Friday by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, may have incriminated Mr. Comey over the leaking of sensitive information and lying to Congress.

Mr. McCabe was fired for allegedly not being “forthcoming” to FBI investigators about his talking to the media about the Clinton email probe and the Clinton family’s charitable foundation. In a lengthy statement defending himself, Mr. McCabe said he had been authorized to talk to the media anonymously, and that Mr. Comey knew about it.

(Meantime, pencil-neck Schiff sounds desperate to keep the anti-Trump Witch hunt alive... what does HE fear?)
"This would undoubtedly result in a constitutional crisis, and I think Democrats and Republicans need to speak out about this right now," Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, told ABC's This Week. (Associated Press)

Adam Schiff says Congress should reinstate Mueller if Trump fires him

- The Washington Times

Mr. Trump’s lawyer, John Dowd, called on the Justice Department Saturday to immediately shut down Mr. Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, after Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

He urged Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the probe, to close it down, saying Mr. Mueller’s work had been “corrupted” by political bias since the beginning.

Mr. Trump said on Twitter the probe should have never started.

Leading Democrats reacted with alarm.

Comey - has only Nine Major inconsistencies to cover up

(I suppose most days, he will tell that many lies before having breakfast)

Nine Major Problems with James Comey’s Involvement with the Trump Hoax Dossier

1 – Comey signed FISA applications that cited the largely discredited anti-Trump dossier as purported evidence to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, who briefly served as a volunteer campaign foreign policy adviser.

2 – Comey reportedly did not tell the FISA court that Steele’s dossier was funded by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

3 – Comey’s FISA application reportedly did not inform the court that Steele had been hired by Fusion GPS.

4 – Comey’s FISA application is accused of incorrectly assessing that Steele did not provide information to Yahoo News.

5 – Comey cited the dossier in the FISA applications to monitor Page even though he personally called the information contained in Steele’s dossier “salacious and unverified” months later.

6 – Comey cited the Steele dossier in the applications to monitor Page even though his own FBI determined the document was “only minimally corroborated.”

7 – Comey admitted to pushing back against a request from Trump to possibly investigate the origins of claims made inside the dossier.

8 – Comey briefed Trump and Obama on the contents of the dossier in an official, formal classified briefing even though he knew the document’s political origins, his own FBI determined the document to be “only minimally corroborated”, and Comey himself later referred to the dossier as “unverified.” The briefing was subsequently leaked to the news media and started a flurry of publicity about the wild accusations inside the dossier.

9 – Comey’s FBI may have utilized a second dossier authored by Cody Shearer, a shadowy former tabloid journalist who has long been closely associated with various Clinton scandals.

Comey's frequent "inconsistencies" (lies?) always remind me of this classic song:
