Worst Jedi?: Star Wars is now pushing an SJW agenda

Do people like the agenda that Star Wars "The Worst Jedi" is pushing?

DRK6qm2UMAU6S9Y.jpg

Don't kid yourself, there is an Agenda being pushed at you, and it is not family friendly,

and may not sit well with the dreams and ambitions of many/most woman.

Can they truly sell it, or will the audience rebel?

The Truth About Star Wars: The Last Jedi

"If you want to know who Rules you, just see whom you cannot criticize...

If you want to know who is genuinely oppressed, see whom is not allowed to get angry."

Comments:

The Last Jedi is feminist, globalist trash that just contributes to the cuckolding of our young boys/men. I'm divorcing Disney now and I'm taking the kids, i.e. "the original films".

'STAR WARS' fans death star movie critics!

The critics loved “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” — The Times’s Manohla Dargis raved about it, and she wasn’t alone.

Rotten Tomatoes, aggregating critics’ reviews, rated the latest chapter in the saga 93 percent fresh. But fans? Not so much. At least if you go by Rotten Tomatoes, which says moviegoers posting on its site rated the film 56 percent fresh.

But wait! CinemaScore, which conducts exit polls at theaters (that is, it talks to actual, live human beings), says moviegoers gave “The Last Jedi” a solid A. And the box office was stratospheric: $450 million worldwide in one weekend, making it the second biggest opening ever.

What’s going on? There are several theories:

1) It’s straight-up trolling. Deadline.com pointed out that nothing prevents the same person from repeatedly logging onto Rotten Tomatoes and dragging down the audience score. (And one Facebook user claims to have done just that.)

2) The adventures of Rey and company (including the villainous Snoke) were genuinely disappointing. As the Hollywood Reporter noted, fans hoped that the writer-director Rian Johnson’s follow-up to “The Force Awakens” would explain, among other mysteries, who Rey’s parents are, and the answer (nobody special) wasn’t very satisfying.

How about the truth: It is PROPAGANDA from end to end - pushing an anti-human, anti-family agenda.

'JEDI' $175M BEHIND 'FORCE'

School is out, but it didn’t help “The Last Jedi.” The new “Star Wars” movie is running over $120 million behind the last one on a day to day comparison.

On its second Friday in release, “The Force Awakens” logged $49 million for a domestic total of $440 million.

Last night, “The Last Jedi” came in at $24.7 million. The domestic total is $321 million.

Well, one week and $321 million is nothing to sneeze at. That’s a damn good showing, second best to “The Force Awakens.” But it’s still quite a distance behind the first part of this trilogy.

The theory that school wasn’t completely dismissed for the holidays didn’t pan out. Since its opening last week, “Jedi” has been struggling to maintain momentum. Maybe tonight, with school out and nothing but time on their hands, kids will flock to theaters. I hope they do!

The Last Jedi: A Meditation on Human Weakness

After seeing The Last Jedi there does appear to be a campaign to let the helium out of the last official holdout of pure idealism left in Hollywood – Star Wars, a franchise creator George Lucas admirably tried, but ultimately failed to protect from Hollywood appropriation.

EXCERPT

vanity-fair.jpg?w=610&h=286
Clumsy Liberal Political Correctness

Yes, it’s true, the original Star Wars was a bunch of white people, two droids, and Lando Calrissian. I’m all for diversity represented on the screen, however The Last Jedi seems to have taken a nosedive into a galaxy of Identity Politics.

Instead of striving for a world where everyone is equal and celebrated, Identity Politics prefers to wallow in the politics of victimhood, the need to elevate some people and demonize others based upon race and gender, reverse-discrimation repackaged for Millennials. Swinging from one extreme to another is not a balanced, healthy approach. It will not make the world a better place. You’re just exchanging one elite class for another. Why don’t liberals understand this? But in the words of Yoda, “the greatest teacher, failure is.”

“And there are lots and lots of tweets and user reviews and responses that focus on the idea that the film’s strongest characters are almost all women, who usually know the right thing to do, while its most evil characters are white men with complexes about being given what they think they deserve … The series’ millennial good guys are a young white woman, a black man, a woman of Asian descent, and a Latino man, while its millennial bad guys are two white dudes.” (Vox.com)

leia-and-poe.jpg?w=610&h=238
An Extreme Gender Divide

The Last Jedi really pushes the gender divide to a new dualistic extreme – the divine feminine vs the demonic masculine. While the original Star Wars broke new ground giving us a plucky Princess Leia who could handle a blaster and didn’t need rescuing, The Last Jedi seems to be pushing the cause-de-jour of “toxic masculinity.”

We have a Rebel Alliance commanded by wise*, compassionate Earth Mothers while the First Order is a fascist troop of humorless white guys (no different from the original Empire). What’s very different is the deliberate diminishment of the swashbuckling male hero, the character of Poe Dameron, who is scolded and berated for his heroic wartime recklessness throughout the film. Maybe that’s the reason Han Solo left Leia and the Rebel Alliance? (humorous speculation)
. . .
First, confronted with the lifestyles of the intergalactic 1%, who resemble extras in a Hunger Games movie, Finn’s daring escape/joyride causes a fair bit of destruction to this casino vacation spot. His response – he’s pretty happy to cause some collateral property damage to these galactic elitists (who are just kinda minding their own business). This is a very unheroic and un-Star Wars thing to proclaim. I’m pretty sure promoting anarchy and violence against the rich is not in the Jedi handbook (which incidentally, Luke decides to burn – a highly symbolic act). However it is very ANTIFA.

Second, this intergalactic hacker DJ (what kind of Star Wars name is DJ?) opens a whole new can of worms for the Star Wars univese with one line of dialogue. DJ hints that there are secret powers “behind the scenes” who are selling weapons to both sides of the conflict, profiting from both the First Order and The Resistance. (Just like the Rothschilds did throughout World War I and II.) This is quite the revelation, and I am curious to see where Disney takes this “conspiracy theory” narrative in future films.

*Wise?  In what way Wise?

Did anyone see any signs of actual wisdom (as we saw with male characters like ... in the original Star Wars).  If there was wisdom there,  missed it.  All saw was a possible lesbian leader (Holdo) who was willing to sacrifice herself and her space craft in the most unconvincing way.  If they are going to show female wisdom, they need to understand what it is.  It is real, but it is something different from male wisdom IMHO.

'STAR WARS' Fading FAST at Box Office...

3rd Place in 3rd Week...

Makes Half as Much as Horror Thriller...

Insidious 4 is in a close battle with Disney/Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi — now in its fourth weekend and posting a global total of $1.122 billion through Thursday — for the No. 2 spot. Star Wars pulled in an additional $7 million on Friday and should post about $23 million for the weekend. Still, the film is losing steam and will likely land at No. 2 or No. 3 for the weekend. In 2016, the last Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, topped the domestic box office for the Jan. 8-10 weekend, grossing $42.4 million over that frame.

/ 2 / In China:

Box Office: 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Losing Opening-Day Race in China

The Disney and Lucasfilm juggernaut is getting beaten badly by local comedy 'The Ex-File 3,' which opened in China a week ago.

Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi is off to an inauspicious start in China, its final major box-office test.

The prior two Star Wars films underperformed in China, but the early results for The Last Jedi, which finally debuted locally on Friday, look even worse than expected.

The film earned $560,000 (3.65 million RMB) in midnight previews, well behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens' $2.5 million (16 million RMB) previews score  — and way behind The Fate of the Furious' record $8.7 million preview total (60 million RMB) in 2017.

Worse still, Friday's early box-office results have The Last Jedi clearly losing to local comedy The Ex-File 3: The Return of the Exes. As of 4:30 p.m., Beijing time, The Last Jedi had earned approximately $5 million (33 million RMB) compared to Ex-Files 3's $11.6 million (75 million RMB), according to data from mobile ticketing service Maoyan.

MILO: 'Women Have Ruined Star Wars'

Chinese audiences were not interested in being lectured by a leftwing movie

GreatSmithanon
I expected to leave The Last Jedi feeling depressed. I didn't expect the film to enrage me from beginning to end. Everything in it was fucking terrible and it was a massive fuck you to the original trilogy and did an incredible disservice to the things that made people fall in love with the originals.

(the audiences like the "newest" Star Wars even less):

BOX OFFICE: 'SOLO' CRASHING...

'STAR WARS' RUNNING OUT OF STEAM?

Box Office: 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Struggling to Hit $100M in U.S., Crashes Overseas

The Force is under siege.

Disney and Lucasfilm's Solo: A Star Wars Story is struggling in its debut at the Memorial Day box office, where it's coming in well behind expectations with an estimated three-day debut of $83.3 million-plus and projected four-day debut of $101 million (numbers will be updated Monday morning). That's even worse than forecasts earlier in the weekend.

The news is altogether grim overseas, where Solo rolled out in every major market save Japan. The movie — which made a high-profile stop at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month — is bombing with $65 million, including a dismal $10.1 million launch in China. The global bow is an estimated $148.3 million; many had thought it would fly to $300 million even though the Star Wars franchise has never been an enormous player internationally.

Is Solo even less popular than The Worst Jedi?

SOLO an SJW Star Wars Story

Only a beta male Soy Boy could like it - Fans are deserting the franchise fast

"All of these (SJW) things are bombing"

'SOLO' Continues to Nosedive at Box Office...

On its second Friday, “Solo” only made $8.1 million, a staggering 77 percent drop from the already low $35.3 million the “Star Wars” anthology film made on its opening day. Even when taking out the $14.1 million from Thursday previews that counted towards the opening Friday total, the Friday-to-Friday drop is still 62 percent.

. . . The numbers are so low for “Solo” — pun not intended — that “Deadpool 2” is within reach of taking back the No. 1 spot in its third weekend. The R-rated Marvel film currently sits in second with a weekend total of $24 million. That would be enough to push it past the $250 million domestic mark by Sunday’s end.

'SOLO' To Lose $50M+; First Defeat For DISNEY Empire...

To borrow one of Han Solo's lines from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, "That's not how the Force works!"

It's an apt way to sum up the troubled performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story. In one of the biggest box-office surprises in recent times, Solo is badly underperforming and will become the first of the Star Wars movies made by Disney and Lucasfilm to lose money.

Wall Street analyst Barton Crockett says Solo will lose more than $50 million. Industry financing sources, however, say that figure could come in at $80 million or higher, although no one knows the exact terms of Disney's deals for home entertainment and television, among other ancillary revenues.

Girls-Busters in an Ocean of Red : The next Feminist Flop Film?

oceans8.f4836115245.original.jpg
Going 'Overboard': Hollywood's glut of gender-swap remakes...

From the polarizing "Ghostbusters" remake to the controversy over female versions of James Bond and Doctor Who, Hollywood's proclivity for gender-swapped retreads is among its most enduring and contentious.

The trend -- seen as empowering or annoying, depending on who you ask -- is getting fresh attention with "Ocean's 8" due for release on Friday, "Overboard" still in theaters and "What Men Want" coming out in January.

The new "Overboard" swapped Goldie Hawn from the 1987 comedy for Eugenio Derbez and Kurt Russell for Anna Faris, and has grossed a healthy $70 million worldwide on an estimated $12 million budget.

But it was disliked by the vast majority of critics, according to online reviews collator Rotten Tomatoes, which dismissed it as a "remake that fails to clear the fairly low bar set by the original."

. . . "Ghostbusters" (2016) could well be studied in future film history classes for the bizarre backlash it received from the legion of "ghostbros" who swore lifelong loyalty to the 1984 original.
