Calm Down Dear, it's only a commercial. Everything going perfectly to plan.

Not really that much of a sham.
Comey has no doubt they will be fining and imprisoning members of the Trump administration. Flynn for sure, probably Manfort too. Which is fine, we planned that and for that.

ABC News corrects bombshell Flynn report

by Oliver Darcy @oliverdarcy December 1, 2017

ABC News on Friday evening corrected an explosive special report that aired in the morning saying that Donald Trump, as a candidate for president, had asked Michael Flynn to make contact with Russians.

During "World News Tonight," ABC News investigative reporter Brian Ross said the source who had provided the initial information for his story later told him that it was as president-elect, not as a candidate, that Trump asked Flynn to contact the Russians.

The initial report, based on one anonymous source, prompted a dramatic reaction in the financial markets, and the Dow fell more than 350 points.

Stocks largely recovered later in the day.

CNN had reached out to ABC News in the early afternoon to ask why Ross' initial reporting was not included in the network's online story about Flynn pleading guilty to lying to the FBI.

Several hours later, a spokesperson for the network told CNN that Ross would be issuing a "clarification" on "World News Tonight," which airs at 6:30 p.m. ET.

"[A] clarification tonight on something one of Flynn's confidants told us and we reported earlier today," Ross said on the program.

"He said the president had asked Flynn to contact Russia during the campaign. He's now clarifying that saying, according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other world hot spots. And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russia on issues including working together to fight ISIS."

A tweet published by ABC News containing Ross' initial report had been retweeted more than 25,000 times and embedded in various news stories online before it was deleted. ABC posted a "clarification" on Twitter around 8 p.m.

. . .

This is not the first high-profile mistake by Ross. In a 2012 piece for which he apologized, he suggested that the Aurora shooter may have had a connection to the Tea Party.

FLASH: ABCNEWS Suspends Brian Ross for 4 Weeks Without Pay...

ABC News announced Saturday that it has suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for four weeks without pay after Ross was forced to correct a bombshell on-air report about Michael Flynn.

"We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday. The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross during the special report had not been fully vetted through our editorial standards process," ABC said in a statement. "As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online."

"It is vital we get the story right and retain the trust we have built with our audience -- these are our core principles," the statement added. "We fell far short of that yesterday."

. . .

An ABC News tweet about the report was retweeted about 25,000 times before being deleted.

Ross' incorrect report prompted a dramatic reaction in the financial markets, and the Dow fell more than 350 points. Stocks largely recovered later in the day.

Gen. Michael Flynn Pleads Guilty | Lionel and Stefan Molyneux

photo.jpg

Let me tell you what may actually happen:

+ Trump will not be impeached

+ Mueller's fake investigation will fall apart unless it moves to Hillary

+ An investigation into multiple crimes of the Clintons will be launched

+ The investigations will turn up enormous wrongdoing

+ The Clintons will be charged and arrested

+ There will be a public trial destroying any remnants of respect for HRC

+ (If as bad as I expect), Hillary will be executed

+ Over 300 Million Americas will cheer, since her reputation will be thoroughly destroyed and people will want her removed from the planet

+ Trump may turn out to be one of the most effective Presidents, who turned the country around and drained the swamp, getting rid of the Clinton Crime family, and maybe the Bush Crime family too

Byron York: Nunes blows up,

threatens contempt after FBI stonewalls House on Russia investigator demoted for anti-Trump bias

TIMELINE:
=======

On Oct. 11, Nunes met with deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein. In that meeting, Nunes specifically discussed the committee's request for information about Strzok.

In an Oct. 31 committee staff meeting with the FBI, bureau officials refused a request for information about Strzok.

On Nov. 20, the committee again requested an interview with Strzok. (Three days earlier, on November 17, Strzok met with the Senate Intelligence Committee.)

On Nov. 29, Nunes again spoke to Rosenstein, and again discussed Strzok.

On Dec. 1, the committee again requested to speak with Strzok.

After each occasion, the FBI and DOJ did nothing. Now, in what appears to be an orchestrated leak, both the Post and Times published the reason for Strzok's demotion, along with concerns that the revelation might help President Trump.

========

1060x600-f22e4d196cbcda5f2627b13014329bd"By hiding from Congress, and from the American people, documented political bias by a key FBI head investigator for both the Russia collusion probe and the Clinton email investigation, the FBI and DOJ engaged in a willful attempt to thwart Congress' constitutional oversight responsibility," Nunes said in a statement Saturday afternoon. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has issued an angry demand to the FBI and Department of Justice to explain why they kept the committee in the dark over the reason Special Counsel Robert Mueller kicked a key supervising FBI agent off the Trump-Russia investigation.

Stories in both the Washington Post and New York Times on Saturday reported that Peter Strzok, who played a key role in the original FBI investigation into the Trump-Russia matter, and then a key role in Mueller's investigation, and who earlier had played an equally critical role in the FBI's Hillary Clinton email investigation, was reassigned out of the Mueller office because of anti-Trump texts he exchanged with a top FBI lawyer, Lisa Page, with whom Strzok was having an extramarital affair. Strzok was transferred to the FBI's human resources office — an obvious demotion -- in July.

The Post reported that Strzok and Page exchanged text messages that "expressed anti-Trump sentiments and other comments that appeared to favor Clinton."

Word of the messages and the affair were news to Nunes, even though the committee had issued a subpoena that covered information about Strzok's demotion more than three months ago. The committee's broadly worded subpoena for information related to the so-called Trump dossier went to the FBI and FOJ on Aug. 24. In follow-up conversations on the scope of the subpoena, committee staff told the FBI and DOJ that it included information on the circumstances of Strzok's reassignment.

On Oct. 11, Nunes met with deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein. In that meeting, Nunes specifically discussed the committee's request for information about Strzok.

DISMISSED FBI AGENT OVERSAW FLYNN, HUMA INTERVIEWS?
WSJ: MUELLER CREDIBILITY PROBLEM...

Clinton Aides Went Unpunished After Making False Statements To Anti-Trump FBI Supervisor

chuckRoss.jpg
12/04/2017

The FBI agent who was fired from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation team for sending anti-Donald Trump text messages conducted the interviews with two Hillary Clinton aides accused of giving false statements about what they knew of the former secretary of state’s private email server.

Neither of the Clinton associates, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, faced legal consequences for their misleading statements, which they made in interviews last year with former FBI section chief Peter Strzok.

But another Strzok interview subject was not so lucky.

Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser, pleaded guilty last week to lying during an interview he gave on Jan. 24 to Strzok and another FBI agent. Circa journalist Sara Carter reported on Monday that Strzok took part in that interview with the retired lieutenant general.

At the time, Strzok was the FBI’s top investigator on the fledgling investigation into Russian interference in the presidential campaign. He was appointed to supervise that effort at the end of July 2016, just weeks after the conclusion of the Clinton email probe. CNN reported on Monday that as the FBI’s No. 2 counterintelligence official, Strzok signed the documents that officially opened the collusion inquiry.

The starkly different outcomes from Strzok’s interviews — a felony charge against Flynn and a free pass to Mills and Abedin — are sure to raise questions from Republicans about double-standards in the FBI’s two most prominent political investigations. FBI Director Christopher Wray will likely be pressed on the Strzok scandal on Thursday when he attends an oversight hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Strzok was also a prominent part of the Clinton investigation, so much so that he conducted all of the most significant interviews in the case.

Mueller recommends no prison time for Flynn...
'Substantial assistance' to probe...
Sat for 19 interviews with special counsel...
Secretive work for Turkey...

President Donald Trump's former national security adviser provided so much information to the special counsel's Russia investigation that prosecutors say he shouldn't do any prison time, according to a court filing Tuesday that describes Michael Flynn's cooperation as "substantial."

The filing by special counsel Robert Mueller provides the first details of Flynn's assistance in the Russia investigation, including that he participated in 19 interviews with prosecutors and cooperated extensively in a separate and undisclosed criminal probe. But the filing's lengthy redactions also underscore how much Mueller has yet to reveal.

It was filed two weeks ahead of Flynn's sentencing and just over a year after he became one of five Trump associates to plead guilty in the Russia probe, in his case about conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.

Though prosecutors withheld specific details of Flynn's cooperation because of ongoing investigations, their filing nonetheless illustrates the breadth of information Mueller has obtained from people close to Trump as the president increasingly vents his anger at the probe — and those who cooperate with it.

. . . Trump has repeatedly lamented how Flynn's life has been destroyed by the special counsel's probe. At one point, he tried to protect Flynn by asking former FBI Director James Comey to drop an investigation into his alleged false statements, according to a memo Comey wrote after the February 2017 encounter.

That episode, which Trump has denied, is being scrutinized by Mueller as he probes whether the president attempted to obstruct the Russia investigation.

In other news. Looks like one or more of Trumps kids and/or maybe a particular husband is spending time in front of the grand jury.

However one thing really pissing me off about the Cohen thing is how the likes of cnn are saying it implicates Trump.

I don't see how that can be remotely true. Ffs he was Trumps lawyer, the parallels they are trying to draw with ordering a hit in organised crime is ridiculous.

Tampering with a witness is a crime. Asking a legitimate lawyer to tamper with a witness isn't, they would just tell you no. And if they did tamper with a witness, the culpability is all theirs.

If Trump wasn't a pedophile I'd be tempted to feel sorry for him.

As it stands, on balance, still enjoying the show.

" Tampering with a witness is a crime "

EXCEPT when the FBI manipulates Flynn, and gets him to plead guilty to lying, when he did not.

That's okay, because it advances the Witch Hunt, right?

The other thing that pisses me off is everybody forgetting lying wasn't the only thing Flynn would have been found guilty of if he hadn't entered a plea agreement.
