2020 Dem brawl for presidency taking shape...
Top Ten...

The Hill presents its initial rankings of the Democratic field.

(0. Somebody Else, not yet on the List... who is NOT Hillary)
 1. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas)
 2. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)
 3. Former Vice President Joe Biden
 4. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.)
 5. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)
 6. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio)
 7. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.)
 8. Sen. Amy Klobuchar. (D-Minn.)
 9.  Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg
10. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.)

Other potential candidates outside the top 10: Former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, activist Tom Steyer, Rep. Joe Kennedy III. (D-Mass.), former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro, South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.)
(Personally, I think Bloomberg is the only truly viable candidate against Trump.
The rest are clowns dressed in reckless ambition. Bloomie is serious.

His problem will be convincing an out-of-touch party, that they will need a Centrist candidate - so maybe unlikely)

Speaking of out-of-touch, here's the king of inappropriate touching, Biden:
Who Matches the Moment?
How Biden Paved Way...

( for what?  A slugfest, Or Pedo- charges?)

When officials at the University of Utah invited Joseph R. Biden Jr. to speak there in December, Mr. Biden’s representatives listed a number of requirements for the appearance. His booking firm, Creative Artists Agency, said the school would need to fly Mr. Biden and his aides to Salt Lake City by private plane. It would have to buy 1,000 copies of his recent memoir for distribution to the audience. There would be no insertion of the word “former” before “vice president” in social media promotions. And the speaking fee would be $100,000 — “a reduced rate,” it was explained, for colleges and universities.

But three days before the event, Mr. Biden’s aides learned that the public university would be using state funds to pay his fee. They already had a policy against taking tuition dollars, and decided that accepting taxpayer dollars for such a windfall might appear just as politically distasteful. Mr. Biden made the trip anyway but declined to take a check.

Warren's "Edgy" image is rather Awkward

Warren’s opening salvo, broadcast via an emailed announcement video, defined her as an economic populist ready to stand up to Trump. Her slogan made her attitude clear: “Join the Fight.”

“She is a very strong advocate — an edgy advocate — and is that what people are going to be looking for in the era of Trump? Do you fight edgy with edgy?” asked David Axelrod, the chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — As Americans commemorated Martin Luther King Jr., Democratic presidential hopefuls fanned out across the country to honor the civil rights leader and make themselves heard on the national stage.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., used the holiday to launch a presidential campaign that, if successful, would make her the first woman and the second black candidate to become president. Former Vice President Joe Biden accepted responsibility for his part in the passage of 1980s legislation that toughened sentences for crack cocaine possession, “a big mistake” because of its damage to the black community.

New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand lashed out at President Donald Trump for inspiring “hate and darkness” in a fiery speech in Harlem. South Carolina, a critical early-voting state in the Democratic primary, hosted two senators expected to seek the White House in 2020: Cory Booker of New Jersey and Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg assailed gun violence in remarks at a Washington breakfast celebrating King’s life. Massachusetts Sent. Elizabeth Warren denounced what she called the systematic suppression of black voters.

She's Like a Demonic child of Obummer & HELLary...

Kamala Stacks Campaign With Team Hillary...

The newly launched Kamala Harris presidential campaign is stacked with top officials from Hillary Clinton's failed 2016 campaign, including her lawyer Marc Elias.

The abundance of Clinton staffers joining Harris is unsurprising, as many went straight from the 2016 trail to work in her new senate office in 2017. Those moves were considered a signal to insiders that a presidential campaign may be in the works.

The Harris campaign announced on Monday that Elias, Clinton's top lawyer, will be its general counsel; Lily Adams, Clinton's Iowa communications director and daughter of former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, will be its national communications director; Angelique Cannon, Clinton's deputy national finance director and national finance director for Senate Majority PAC, will be its national finance director; and David Huynh, Clinton's director of delegate operations and ballot access, will be its senior adviser.

Elias was most recently in the spotlight a few months ago as the top lawyer for former Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson during the Florida recount, which ended with Republican Sen. Rick Scott holding on to his victory.

Kamala's checkered Past - extramarital use of her attractiveness as a means to get a job

The San Francisco ghosts in Kamala Harris' past

Few outside of California know or care who Willie Brown is. But that may be about to change.

Brown spent around a quarter of a century as de facto royalty in California, first serving more than three decades as a member of the California Assembly (15 years as its speaker), and then eight years as mayor of San Francisco.

He also once carried out an open extramarital affair with a young prosecutor named Kamala Harris, currently a U.S. senator and leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Now, we're far beyond the point that a personal past like that disqualifies a candidate. Harris, after all, is vying to challenge a thrice-married man who once graced the cover of Playboy and publicized his infidelity on the cover of the New York Post. Candidates' personal lives no longer warrant deep investigation, unless they tell us something about their professional and political lives.

Unfortunately for Harris, the Willie Brown story is not strictly personal. It's also professional.

When Harris was barely 30, she began dating Brown, then in his 60s and speaker of the California Assembly. To be clear, an ambitious woman dating a powerful man is not alone any cause for concern. Strong women are attracted to success, and a 30-year-old assistant district attorney is hardly, say, a 21-year-old intern. But the story doesn't end there.

For one thing, Brown was married at the time. He wound up dumping Harris and returning to his wife as he became mayor. (Again, in the era of President Trump, few will clutch their pearls over this.)

More questionable than the romance is the relationship's apparent effect on her finances and her career. Brown, according to contemporary news accounts, gifted his then-girlfriend two government jobs with ample salaries — while she was just getting her start as an assistant DA.

Kristen = Hillary 2.0... Nearly as Condescending Too

Has anyone checked if Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., keeps a bottle of hot sauce in her purse?

Gillibrand used Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to address a crowd at Al Sharpton's National Action Network in New York. This is apparently what we can expect from her for the next year or more in her bid for the 2020 Democratic nomination: a cringe-inducing, condescending appeal to minorities that makes Hillary Clinton’s own embarrassing overtures look like she kept it real.

Sharpton, perhaps in a back-handed attempt to undermine her candidacy, later posted a video on Twitter of Gillibrand ... uh ... “preaching.”

She's the wrong age, but if Obama & Hillary had had a love child somehow, she would be it

Harris ends campaign kickoff speech with wild laugh

What was so funny about announcing a campaign for president?

Who knows, but Sen. Kamala Harris concluded her campaign kickoff speech in Oakland, California with a wild cackle.

“So let’s remember in this fight, we have the power of the people,” Harris said, concluding her roughly 30-minute speech.

“We can achieve the dreams of our parents and grandparents. We can heal our nation. We can give our children the future they deserve,” she said.

“We can reclaim the American Dream for every single person in our country,” Harris said, watching her language to be inclusive of illegal aliens.

“And we can restore America’s moral leadership on this planet. So, let’s do this,” she said, letting out a bizarre, wild laugh.

(It is demonic! She takes joy from deceiving people, as Hillary did)

Tulsi Gabbard Slams “Neocon/Neolib Warmongers” After NBC Propaganda Exposed

Tulsi Gabbard lashed out at “neocon” and “neolib warmongers” after NBC News was exposed trying to smear her as a Kremlin stooge. The network was called out over the weekend for relying on a Democrat-run firm that created fake Russian Twitter bots to stage a “false flag” campaign against Republic Roy Moore in the 2017 Alabama special election – New Knowledge.

To justify its claim that Tulsi Gabbard is the Kremlin’s candidate, NBC writes:

Analysts at New Knowledge, the company the Senate Intelligence Committee used to track Russian activities in the 2016 election, told NBC News they’ve spotted ‘chatter’ related to Gabbard in anonymous online message boards, including those known for fomenting right-wing troll campaigns.

/ 2 /

But the whole story was a sham: The only “expert” cited by NBC in support of its key claim was the firm New Knowledge, which just got caught by the New York Times fabricating Russian troll accounts on behalf of the Democratic Party in the Alabama Senate race to manufacture false accusations that the Kremlin was interfering in that election.

To justify its claim that Gabbard is the Kremlin’s candidate, NBC stated, “analysts at New Knowledge, the company the Senate Intelligence Committee used to track Russian activities in the 2016 election, told NBC News they’ve spotted ‘chatter’ related to Gabbard in anonymous online message boards, including those known for fomenting right-wing troll campaigns.”

Tulsi Gabbard is a true American patriot, and one who has earned my respect.

She is a very bright, pro-peace, US Veteran, and a Samoan-American. Her views are only controversial because they run against past- and present- US wars of conquest.

Tulsi Gabbards on the Administration's push for war in Syria

She went on to say that the US government had been funding and training jihadis in the Middle East; she again was proven to be correct.

Tulsi Gabbard: President Trump Ended the Obama-era Program which funded Al Qaeda in Syria

. . . I would like everyone in this country, to listen with respect, and do not judge this lady by what is said about her by the Ziocon witch hunters, and the military-industrial complex, because both are pathologically war-centric. Here's her campaign video:

Tulsi Gabbard Enters 2020 election run

This is a person who, I believe, would honestly, and intelligently represent, and do her best to care for, the needs of our citizens. I would be very proud to have this lady representing this country as both President and Commander in Chief.

Please remember: this is a pro-peace Vet, who has served her country; and this is why the Israeli lobby and AIPAC are so bloody scared of her, that they felt compelled to start with a smear campaign against her, from nearly the moment she announced her run.

And Tulsi, unless you do anything which causes my opinion of you to change, I have your back.

I consider you a real American patriot, who wants to find the truth, no matter how distressing or disturbing that truth might be; it is a rare person, with the courage and tenacity to do so, and I believe you to be one of those people.

BETO at SEA... Once Again ?

Beto Was Once Adrift. Now He's Searching Again...
Big Dem Fight Over How to Tax the Rich...

Twenty-three and searching — with an Ivy League degree that could not pay rent — Mr. O’Rourke subsisted as a live-in nanny on the Upper West Side, with a futon in the maid’s quarters, watching over a wealthy family’s two preschoolers.

“I just remember his dad coming,” said the former girlfriend, Sasha Watson, recalling a pep talk from Pat O’Rourke, a prominent Texas county commissioner and judge, who insisted his son was destined for “bigger things.”

“He really saw great things for Beto.”

Great things were not happening. By late 1995, Mr. O’Rourke had fallen into the deepest depression he can remember. He worked for an uncle’s tech business because it was a job. He spent nights alone listening to his cassettes because it passed the time.

“Little bit of a sad case,” Mr. O’Rourke said.

More than two decades later, long after what friends describe as a quarter-life crisis, Mr. O’Rourke has arrived at a midlife crossroads of enormous consequence, with revealing parallels to his time in New York. Forty-six and searching — after a narrow Senate loss in Texas last year that propelled the former El Paso congressman to Democratic stardom — he has been driving around the country, alone, introducing himself to strangers, deciding if he wants to run for president.
