The Cenk-mentality is part of the Dems problem

Cebnk thinks he was NOT Progressive enough - haha !

"The populist way is the way to go"

Why Ossoff Lost and Democrats Can't Seem to Win!

WHY Ossoff lost: THE DYING DEMOCRATIC PARTY - has nothing but anti-Trump "Victim politics"

"Working class Whites have been "iced" while those who want to drain the remaining wealth from hard-working white tax payers have taken over. I reckon the only white leaders you will see from now on, will be VICTIM-CARD-playing minorities, females, gays and/or trannies... (And maybe a few cucked-out beta males...) But a party cannot survive for long without funds. So behind the scum-crats you will find the useful puppetmasters, rich Joos, whose Agenda(s) the democrats continue to implement... it may be the only way they can get their money."

Political News Outlet Young Turks Raises $20 Million

After Viewership Gains Left-leaning YouTube network plans to double newsroom size; funding round led by 3L Capital

The media’s “Trump Bump” is starting to get the attention of investors.

The Young Turks Network, the left-leaning, YouTube-driven political news outlet led by outspoken activist Cenk Uygur, has raised $20 million, which it plans to use to double the size of its newsroom and business operations.

The funding round is being led by newly formed growth equity fund 3L Capital, with additional backing from venture capital veterans Greycroft Partners and e.ventures, as well as Jeffrey Katzenberg’s recently launched WndrCo.

“News is red hot right now and being positioned on the progressive side of the coin has put us in a very good place,” Mr. Uygur said.

He said the company currently has about 70 staffers and 30 freelancers but plans to use the investment to increase its staff to about 200 people. Part of that expansion will be in creative talent, but Mr. Uygur said it would also entail building an ad sales team and bolstering its paid subscription offerings.

The valuation of Young Turks in the deal wasn’t disclosed.

Launched on YouTube in 2005, Young Turks’ flagship political commentary channel has grown to 3.4 million subscribers and serves as the anchor for a raft of other, smaller channels focused on sports, film and tech.

Young Turks -- which threw it support behind the candidacy of Bernie Sanders and has been sharply critical of Donald Trump’s presidency -- has enjoyed strong growth over the past year across many of its channels.

Its primary channel saw 14% growth in subscribers and a 30% increase in views on YouTube compared to July 2016, according to OpenSlate.

The company has largely grown without the benefit of major investment. In 2014, it signed a $4 million convertible note with an investment firm led by former Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer. The following year, it took in $4.25 million from an undisclosed group of “non-institutional” investors who Mr. Uygur described as “smart, savvy people in the industry.” And in May, it raised $2 million through a crowdfunding campaign in order to hire a dozen investigative journalists.

Versions of Young Turks content have appeared on cable TV and satellite radio over the years. Mr. Uygur has also targeted over-the-top streaming services, which the company’s investors see as fertile territory for growth. The company is currently available on Pluto TV and Comcast ’s “Watchable.”

“The macro trends around how millennials are consuming news and their political interest has made this a good business opportunity for us,” said Shawn Colo, a partner at 3L Capital.

Cenk-makers : Where TYT's money comes from...

110721_roemer_campaign_ap_3.jpg

Buddy Roemer

Charles Elson "Buddy" Roemer III is an American politician, investor, and banker who served as the 52nd Governor of Louisiana from 1988 to 1992, and as a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1981 to 1988.

In 2008, Roemer supported and campaigned for U.S. Senator John S. McCain of Arizona for U.S. President.

In April 2014, Roemer became a partner at The Young Turks, an online liberal news show hosted by Cenk Uygur. His firm—Roemer, Robinson, Melville & Co, LLC—invested $4 million, with an option to double their investment. According to Uygur, the two met and bonded over their shared support of campaign finance reform, an issue that both Uygur and Roemer support and have spoken on the subject thereof extensively over the past several years. According to their investment agreement, Roemer's firm will sit on the Young Turks' advisory board but shall enjoy not editorial and content control over the oversight of the firm. The money will be spent on expanding the sales team, content generation, and platform enhancement.

Jeffrey Katzenberg

Katzenberg has also been involved in politics. With his active support of Barack Obama, he was called "one of Hollywood's premier political kingmakers and one of the Democratic Party's top national fundraisers

DreamWorks SKG
Later in 1994, Katzenberg co-founded DreamWorks SKG with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen, with Katzenberg taking primary responsibility for animation operations. He was also credited as executive producer on the DreamWorks animated films...
After DreamWorks Animation suffered a $125 million loss on the traditionally animated Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003), Katzenberg believed that telling traditional stories using traditional animation is a thing of the past, and the studio switched to all computer-generated animation
WndrCo
In January 2017, reports surfaced that he had raised nearly $600 million from investors for a new venture called WndrCo, which will invest in new media and technology companies. Katzenberg wants to grow WndrCo into a company similar to IAC, founded by his former mentor, Barry Diller.
Katzenberg says WndrCo aims to reinvent TV for mobile devices.
Politics
Katzenberg has been an avid fundraiser for Obama, doing so while much of Hollywood was still supporting the Clintons. His fundraising prowess has reportedly allowed him to become an "informal liaison" between Hollywood and the White House.[24] Katzenberg co-hosted a fundraiser for President Obama at the home of actor George Clooney in May 2012. Katzenberg said that the event raised almost $15 million, which would make it the most profitable presidential fundraiser in history.[26] It was reported that Obama campaign officials were not happy about some of the requests that Katzenberg had made. In particular, they were bothered that Katzenberg, who reportedly had made himself "indispensable to Obama", required that the President spend time talking at each of the 14 tables.
When the details of Oriental DreamWorks emerged, Jennifer Rubin noted that Post the Obama Administration's potential involvement in the deal would not be an issue if not for Katzenberg's May fundraiser for Obama and his “huge campaign donations.”[27] It was reported that Katzenberg was Obama’s top bundler, who, along with Andy Spahn, had contributed at least $6.6 million combined for both of Obama's campaigns
Corruption
The Securities and Exchange Commission launched an investigation in April 2012 into accusations that Katzenberg had bribed Chinese officials in an effort to obtain distribution rights, as Joe Biden was negotiating a deal to increase film quotas

Jordan FIRED!

But maybe they fired the wrong guy (?)

TYT's Cenk Ugyur Releases Statement On Firing of Jordan Chariton

photo.jpg

Fat buffalo is a hypocrite. He is a womanizer who used his position to get women in the past including lies.

And now he acts like he is above it all and Mr. Fair Employer. On various segments about sex he would talk about women as sex objects. I am not saying Jordan is an angel but I am just pointing out a hypocrite. I have been unsubscribed from TYT for a while but mainly because of their ever growing Clinton, corporate and establishment bias. And Russia non sense. Jordan is one of the last rebellious voices at TYT. This smells as a setup. But I will send a word of warning to Jimmy and Kyle because you guys will be next. Just watch the accusers interview at Tim Black channel and you will clearly see a lier, someone with mental issues and someone who can be manipulated and uses sexual assault accusation to bring down Jordan in a malicious way.

Charlie Kirk 'triggered' by Young Turks' Cenk Uygur at Politicon

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk got into a shouting match Saturday with Young Turks founder Cenk Uygur during a Politicon event in Los Angeles.

Kirk faced off against the Young Turks' Hasan Piker in a debate on whether young people should espouse liberalism or conservationism. Towards the end of the event, Kirk challenged Hasan to reveal his salary when the discussion turned to socialism in the U.S.

"So Hasan, why don't you give 95 percent of your money away and go live on a commune?" Kirk said, pushing Hasan to "go live what you preach" after he spoke of the need for socialism for everyone, listing healthcare as a specific need.

Afterwards, Kirk asked, "How much do you make Hasan?"

Admitting it was "embarrassing" with his boss present, Hasan revealed he makes $60,000 a year.

Within moments, Kirk jumped from his seat to shout at at Uygur. "I live like a capitalist every single day, Cenk!" Kirk yelled. "What do I do?" he continued, noting that he gives to charity every year. "What's my salary? Less than his."

"I practice what I preach. Cenk. You do not practice what you preach," he continued after sitting back down, adding that he is funded by "the grassroots of this country."

Watch Full Screen to Skip AdsHasan mentioned how his "measly" salary wouldn't "push the needle" if he gave away 95 percent of it.
