Brexit: Will it happen? What then?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps as importantly will he have Aaron Banks' backing or will he seek pastures new...possibly with Momentum

UKIP have money problems. As they all do,but UKIP's are more severe due to Brexit and the lack of a decent donation inducing leader like Farage,

Ukip Head Office is currently too large for the membership to carry.

Diane James quits as leader of UKIP after 18 days.

I wonder who else will have a try before Nigel comes back.

I don't think the party has much of a future without his leadership

The party will do well under Woolfe, who is,let's be honest, going to win because he has Farage's backing. A lot in the party still hold Nigel in great esteem.

Farage looked genuinely disappointed yesterday, really think he's had enough and wants a quieter life.

That was my take anyway, as someone equally disappointed UKIP look like they will fade despite Labour.

  2. Theresa May makes 'one hell of a climbdown' as she fights to stop Tory rebellion over Brexit

Theresa May accepted a symbolic motion for Brexit scrutiny - as long as it doesn't 'undermine' her

Theresa May was accused of an embarrassing climbdown tonight as she battled to stop a Tory rebellion over her Brexit plans.

The Prime Minister accepted a symbolic call to let Parliament examine her strategy for leaving the EU - before she invokes Article 50 next year.

It came after she prompted outrage by refusing to reveal her plans in detail, behaviour Tory MP Stephen Phillips warned could amount to "tyranny".

Labour is due to make the call in the House of Commons tomorrow using an 'opposition day debate'.

Sounds like a Joke.

But it might be a wonderful way to discipline the EU

Yep it sounds tongue in cheek but I do think he will be used by Trump in an advisory role and I am hopeful that will be good for Brexit and the UK.

Do you think Nigel still has a future in UK Politics?

If so, his developing relationship with Trump might be a plus for both of them

He has a future but perhaps not in the conventional sense of running for Parliament as he really is a one man band whose views are very influential with the public and frowned on by the establishment.

So he is kind of unique and perhaps it's not surprising he seems to get on so well with Trump who also came from a life in business into politics.

A Peerage or some kind of Ambassadorial role where he could influence policy would suit him I believe. The problem is he had to alienate the establishment in order to achieve Brexit.

By rights he should be at the forefront of negotiations after article 50 is triggered.

Pound Slides at Much as 1.6% as May Reported to Seek Hard Brexit

by David Goodman

January 15, 2017, 10:08 AM PST January 15, 2017, 4:19 PM PST
  • May will signal this week plan to quit EU market: Sunday Times
  • Sterling volatility jumped when Tuesday’s speech was announced

The pound slid below $1.20 for the first time since October’s flash crash, after reports that U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May will signal plans to quit the European Union’s single market to regain control of Britain’s borders and laws.

Sterling declined against all its major peers after the Sunday Times said May will prepare to withdraw from tariff-free trade with the region in return for the ability to curb immigration and strike commercial deals with other countries. The currency has slumped 19 percent against the dollar since the U.K. opted to leave the EU in June’s referendum, with declines since the initial aftermath of the vote mainly sparked by concern May would pursue a so-called hard Brexit.

Could be a buying opportunity at below $1.20 - but I prefer to wait, expecting $1.10 or lower

I find it amusing that the markets seem to keep finding reasons to be shocked

What part of the word leave don't they understand ?

That was decided 6 months ago....

I think the banker/globalists just like to keep rubbing it in that Brexit means you are poorer

I wonder if any of them ever stop to think it might not be about money for once.

" if you stay in the EU you cannot make your own laws..Your own courts will not be the ultimate arbitors and you are governed from elsewhere. A vote to leave means we are in control again. It doesn't mean we will always get it right. It doesn't mean everything will be perfect but we are in charge of our destinies and we have power as individuals to shape our future...That is what this was really all about "...( 26.14 )

Nigel likes Theresa's speech on Brexit

That's a good sign but it does look like this issue is going to hang around for a long time.

It's kind of ironic that we use the term globalist to describe many of the NWO ideas we don't like...but aren't brexiteers the true globalists ?

As far as I can see the Cabal will use Brexit to tighten their death grip on the UK Establishment and people. The corrupt Royals / Elites / Cabal control both sides of all arguments and win regardless of what the people believe. They are many decades ahead in their thinking and planning.

Perhaps they'll test run a fuller version of the NWO on the UK - more intrusive spying, more loss of freedoms and liberties, cashless society and forced vaccinations coming shortly.

Brexit matters little to them - what they fear is Donald Trump because the drive to expose and deal with corruption must be putting sh*ts up the Royals and Cabal so he's is at great risk from both the US and UK Establishment so he must create his own powerful War Room to counteract these traitors of truth.

Hungarian Government Slams Anti-Brexit Plot: ‘Why Do We Say “Stop Soros”? Just Ask the British People’

“Soros is funding groups that are working to overturn Brexit, to reverse a decision taken at the request of UK voters, and to possibly topple the democratically elected government of Theresa May in the process,” observed Dr Zoltán Kovács, the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy.

“Let that sink in for a moment.”

Why do we say ’Stop Soros’? Just ask the people of the UK, where he’s working to overturn the Brexit referendum and perhaps topple a democratically elected government in the process. Latest on the BLOG https://t.co/P2EKExLNaw

— Zoltan Kovacs (@zoltanspox) February 9, 2018

Dr. Kovács described how Soros’s supporters have denounced the Hungarian government’s own efforts to curb the influence of the financier and similar super-rich activists through its ‘Stop Soros’ legislative package, and “condemned us for calling out the ‘Soros Plan’ that proposes to bring one million migrants to Europe every year, some even going so far as to deny that such a plan exists”.
