->IMF figures show

IMF fugures also show oil production there has collapsed.

Do you think IMF figures count the billion dollars worth of oil Venezuela sold using its own cryptocurrency to the Chineese and priced in Yuan?

Trump’s Venezuela gamble is turning out to be a beaten docket

Trump’s bid for regime change in Venezuela is starting to look like a fatal overreach. With the South American country’s military remaining firmly loyal to President Maduro, embarrassing questions loom over US’ dubious game plan.

It is not just Washington’s reputation that will take yet another grievous hit. So too will those European states which have shamefully rowed in behind the tawdry attempt at destabilizing a sovereign nation.

US President Donald Trump was asked by reporters at the weekend if he had a “plan B” for Venezuela if President Nicolas Maduro does not stand down soon, as Washington is demanding. With his typical bluster, Trump said he had several backup options.

But, despite his bravado, it looks like Trump’s bet on effecting regime change in Venezuela is a losing venture. The US seems to be increasingly desperate to salvage its plan to topple the government in Caracas.

TWO SIDES?  who "right" is the USA narrative?

John Pilger THE WAR ON VENEZUELA IS BUILT ON LIES

The Guardian correspondent, Tom Phillips, has tweeted a picture of a cap on which the words in Spanish mean in local slang: "Make Venezuela fucking cool again." The reporter as clown may be the final stage of much of mainstream journalism's degeneration.

Should the CIA stooge Guaido and his white supremacists grab power, it will be the 68th overthrow of a sovereign government by the United States, most of them democracies. A fire sale of Venezuela's utilities and mineral wealth will surely follow, along with the theft of the country's oil, as outlined by John Bolton.

Under the last Washington-controlled government in Caracas, poverty reached historic proportions. There was no healthcare for those could not pay. There was no universal education; Mavis Mendez, and millions like her, could not read or write. How cool is that, Tom?

Pence To Announce "Concrete Steps" For Venezuela Crisis After Sit-Down With Guaido On Monday

After the tumultuous events along the border between Venezuela and Colombia this weekend, resulting in humanitarian aid trucks being set on fire as they attempted to cross the Tachira River separating the two countries (with Juan Guaido supporters blaming pro-Maduro forces and vice versa), it appears Washington is prepared to set greater action in motion.

Reuters reports on Sunday that US Vice President Mike Pence will announce “concrete steps” and “clear actions” regarding the Venezuela crisis during a meeting of Latin American heads of state in Bogota, Colombia on Monday, according to a senior administration official.

At least the Brits are going to be too busy Brexitting to join in on this particular warcrime the querecanos have planned. BBC propaganda unlikely to garner much support for even the Querecanos going it alone let alone jumping in hamburger bombs blazing.

Still waiting for some non cia hack to ask if "all options" includes lifting the sanctions thats causing the humanitarian crisis - it would save the querecano tax payer a shit load in heavy weaponry aid.

Katy Watson should get jailtime.

From what I understand from people on the ground in VZL is that MADura is a brutal corrupt dictator that has starved and murdered his own people. He’s selling off state assets and doing business  with Russia, China and Iran with Cuban’s dressed as VZL police and military carrying out much of the atrocities. None of those countries mentions this.

On this occasion, I am in agreement with USA / UK that VZL would be a better place without him. Just how you go about shifting such a person without interfering in other countries affairs I’m not sure.

We are effectively seeing the Elites play out their games of power as they seek control of resources and real estate

Selling oil to Russia, China and Iran is not a crime - As much as the Querecanos want everyone to believe it is.

Of course no issue about selling their oil to whoever they want. I understand that madura is selling off state assets.

which, by "state assets" they most likely mean "oil reserves"

Not like theres a British Rail, British Telecom, Land Rover or Rolls Royce owned by the population and run by the state for him to sell off.

Its also the "opposition" thats promising to privatise everything, perhaps they should consult former employees of the above companies at just how much "endless wealth" Querecano championed privatisation worked out for them.

RON PAUL: IS TRUMP REALLY ABOUT TO ATTACK VENEZUELA?

Last week Secretary of State Mike Pompeo ordered the last of the US diplomats out of Venezuela, saying their presence was a “constraint” on US policy toward the country. The wording seemed intended to convey the idea that the US is about to launch military action to place a Washington-backed, self-appointed politician to the presidency. Was it just bluster, designed to intimidate? Or is the Trump Administration really about to invade another country that has neither attacked nor threatened the United States?

This could get amazingly ugly, in light of the fact the Russia has said that it will "protect its interests in Venezuela", which was a non-subtle way of Putin promising that if US military goes in with a decap strike against Caracas, they will be met, force for force.

Mr. President, President Putin is a guy who keeps his promises, and were I you, I would not want to second guess him on this.

War with Russia over Venezuela's proven oil reserves?!? Right now, if I were a betting woman, I would not bet against it.

I would like to hope that there is an adult in the bowels of power in DC who has the horse-sense to talk President Trump out of such an action; unfortunately, however, the people around him right now, including Pompeo and Bolton, those recycled neocons who never saw a potential war in which they didn't want the US to engage, want this to move forward.

Mr. President, please; this fight, between the US and Russia over Venezuela's oil, could be catastrophic, and put the US economy into even more of a tailspin than it already is; and Mr. President, every economist I have read, indicates that we are headed into a recession about which you will not be able to do much.

Please consider that, as you and your minions march into the coming election cycle in 2020.

MAJOR: Inside How The Coup Was Foiled – Venezuela’s Army Chief Padrino TRICKED Trump & Abrams

Head of Venezuela’s armed forces, Padrino, entirely conned Abrams, and the April 30th event was supposed to be major with Padrino backing it. This explanation below uses all the facts, including official statements, and puts them all together. It also is based on highly reputable Spanish sources. Moreover this conforms to how CSS already understands regime-change operations to have been foiled in various places, and significantly as we have written before, in 2002 in Venezuela itself. That is why it is necessary for the military intelligence to work on coup operations, so that they can reverse them.
