  1. that's BS*. sure oil has gone up in dollars since the Nixon Shock, but that's to be expected when you debase the currency so much. in gold, oil is about the same as it was then. having a paper reserve currency actually incentivises the US to run deficits. yes, it's being completely eviscerated by plank 5 of the commusist manifesto 'cos I've read the Wealth of Nations and I'm not a communist retard? *may contain horse cr4p

much more likely to see a big fall in that paper sh1te they keep printing than to see a big jump in oil.
  4. by being more productive with it - and that US has been more productive than most of the rest of the world during the 20th century. trouble now is that the US economy has become so sovietised that it has little or no competitive advantage over the other tax farms on planet Earth. fixed.

UK House prices: News & Views

why the hell not? it only costs them like a penny to print a twenty pound note. so it's not like they're investing any of their own wealth into it; just what they've nicked via seigniorage. if they buy a mansion for £50m with their freshly created money, it hasn't actually cost them anything.

Cars Are Last : The Wind-up of the Car-Addicted has started

LOL no, the better price perfomance of London is mostly due to the fact that the rest of the UK has the bollox taxed off of it to pay for very well remunerated parasites in whitehall, the city, and other London centric state cartels and monopolies. 'walkability' may play some part, but it has bugger all affect in comparison to the multi-trillion pound heist that's going on. I believe HK also benefits largely from just having a lower and simpler tax system than PRC. when the largest living costs by far are taxes (and other state-related interventions), your energy foot print just doesn't matter that much (in terms of your overall living costs) yes, for a lot of people it is cheaper overall running a car.

Cars Are Last : The Wind-up of the Car-Addicted has started

no, that's not really the case. trains are so expensive in the UK that often driving works out cheaper. it seems to go against the laws of physics to say that it's cheaper for me to propel myself to work on my own in a ~1500kg lump of steel than to share a train carriage, but that's central planning for you.

and most of that cost is taxes (in Europe anyway) e.g.: Annual tax for merely owning a car State mandated insurance demand, coupled with state cartelised insurance supply ~200% sales tax on diesel and petroleum spirit if ppl stopped using cars en masse, they'd just find something else to tax the living sh1t out of, so problem not solved.

Shooters in America - Why do lots of Americans want guns?

must? no, not really. quite simple: unlike the US gov't, the Chinese gov't does not have the 'problem' of a well armed population, therfore there is no desire for the chinese gov't to engineer a 'problem' and 'reaction' in this particular field of governance.

Shooters in America - Why do lots of Americans want guns?

what's illogical would be to make a distinction between 'military grade people' and 'non-military grade people' i.e. that one person ('military') should be allowed to carry weapon XYZ, but another person ('non-military') should not be able to carry said weapon.

[face palm] aside from making the mistake of confusing correlation with causality, you're also using a f*****g stupidly small sample size of two countries out of nearly 200. you're applying the scientific method in a way that would make even the Catholic Church look good.

Shooters in America - Why do lots of Americans want guns?

you've unwittingly made a really good analogy there, because Europe's problem is not debt. TPTB have just tricked you into thinking that that is the problem, in the same way that they have schooled you to believe that decentralised weapon ownership is a problem.

Shooters in America - Why do lots of Americans want guns?

WTF? forget about a bl00dy viideo game, how about banning the actual real wars, you know, like Afghan and Iraq (100,000+ US troops, 100,000+ civilians murdered etc). jeeze. edit: the US gov't/military does far more to 'glorify' US warfare than the Call of Duty makers ever could. Call of Duty is partly trading off the back of decades of US military recruitment propaganda BS.

Fed Policy - Will it change in 2013? Is Q3 Enough ?

the Fed's current policy is inflation until destruction, and no it won't change. it's too much. any amount of theft (whether using a printing press or otherwise) is too much.

you're just avoiding the question: so borassic, why do YOU advocate that known-mass-murderers (US Gov't) should forcibly repress purchases of guns by people who are guilty of absolutely nothing? yes that the people who calll themselves the US gov't are prolific mass murderers is an objective fact; not one man's opinion.
