    GOLD

Yes. All that would suggest tightening liquidity? Have you noticed VIX and Gold are becoming more positively correlated. All it may take is a pullback/correction in the main stock indices to kick start Gold. As for GS and MS ramping, I have no idea what to make of this!

    GOLD

Question - Would you rather buy on fundamentals or chart and price action? The problem is, you can never really be sure when buying strictly on the fundamentals. Too many unknown, unknowns.
  3. One thing which strikes me about last week's price action, is that it didn't have that 'eventfull' bottom feel about it. It's almost as if Gold wants to head that little bit lower, for a full reverse head and shoulder pattern.
  4. Sorry Bubb. I meant to say November 2010.
  5. Eerily similar to November 2011, wouldn't you say?
  6. It is possible his young experiences have turned him into somewhat of an anti-banking cartel rebel, in that he see's gold as a way to 'get even'. However, should Sinclair turn out to be the Pied Piper, then let it be. Those who follow him of the cliff, will learn a very hard important lesson. Albeit a necessary one. It is not your duty to shield them.
  7. Sinclair's actions are quite common are they not? Question is, how much influence does Sinclair have on the Gold Market? He is a fantastic salesman!
  8. Didn't he sell out so he could participate in a placement at a lower price? This is still wrong, but not as wrong as selling out completely and promoting the story.

    Any TD Waterhouse customers here?

    The market says they're fine - http://barchart.com/chart.php?sym=TD&style=technical&p=MO&d=X&sd=&ed=&size=M&log=1&t=CANDLE&v=1&g=1&evnt=1&late=1&o1=&o2=&o3=&sh=100&indicators=&addindicator=&submitted=1&fpage=&txtDate=&x=93&y=9

    Any TD Waterhouse customers here?

Does anyone know about shares and cash held outside ISA's and SIPP?

POP! And we're off! Who's still in this thing?
  12. That's interesting. What was your dentist's rationale for his advice?

    GOLD

Very possible. I am surprised at the level of complacency. Has no one been watcing the TED spread? It's on a lazer beam rally! It does bring me some confort that the vast majority of parabolic moves are preceeded by large corrections that break the trend. This is probably the one.

    GOLD

I do not know your holding period, but I am almost certain gold will go much lower, $1400's. Key supports have been smashed, so have MA's. A rally upto 1620, but no higher than 1680 is likely, but its down hard from there. We are nearly knocking at final support, I don't think I have seen a similazr pattern which has held. But let's not forget, that a parabolic move tends to be preceeded by a serious drop to flush out all bears. This is the one
  15. Careful, Gold may be done here! BTW, why do you think a weak euro is good for silver?
  16. I would be interested to see these charts with some monthly Fibonacci moving averages? Anyone have superior Excel skills?

    GOLD

Your explanation makes sense to me. However, your chart shows CB bullion holdings remained largely flat from 75' to 80'? Surely they could not have been that big of buyers?
  18. Why is this guy labelled a cynic? It is all about Cash flow, Cash flow, Cash flow! I have been banging on about this for ages. At least 90% of the time, the resource estimate doesn't mean a bloody thing, nor does the grade.
  19. Hi PosDev. I will be interested to know how you first fell into trend following, what systems you are using, and which books have influenced your style? Warm regards

Hey Goldfinger, can you explain exactly what MZM is, to a layman like myself?

    The case for $20,000 Gold

    A little about Jim Sinclair's background - http://chasegalleryconnect.org/FNC_C/Data/Personal%20Finance,%20Investing,%20Estates,%20Retirement/Tools&Techniques/Personae/Jim%20Sinclair/James%20E.%20Sinclair,%20his%20father%20Bert%20Seligman,%20Jesse%20Livermore,%20....html

    The case for $20,000 Gold

In all fairness, I don't think Turk, Murphy or Sinclair reaaly have any effect on the Gold market. Up until this year, I didn't really know who any of them were. I doubt 99% of Gold investors do either. Ps. We all have an agenda, hidden or not.

CGNAO - Here & on HPC: The Grim Reaper

Doesn't Liquidity have to dry up for that to happen? TED spread is still tiny by historical standards ... A genuine question.
  24. Jim Slater thinks along the same lines. It's why his Junior Mining fund he advises is now Junior Gold.
