Dorsey III received a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1982. In 1985, he became acquainted with the ideas of Thomas Bearden and John Bedini which allowed for free energy generation but ran counter to his formal schooling. Herbert Dorsey realized that there were holes in the formal science that he was taught and resolved to become a free energy researcher. Along the way, he also discovered the science of anti-gravity. In the 1990s, he attended many UFO conferences and met many interesting people that worked on secret government projects and was amazed at what he learned from them. Dorsey III is a proactive book that reads like Orwellian fiction, but upon closer examination, it is clear that much scientific research is at the heart. Dorsey, a specialist in electrical engineering and physics, details his passion for free energy machines and time travel. Throughout ten chapters he describes in easy to digest terms accounts of: black projects, antigravity, electrodynamics, electromagnetism, teleportation, levitation, parametric amplifiers, radio frequencies, polarized vacuums, electrolyzers, the properties of time, the principals of resonance, antimatter reactors using element 115, and electrogravitics. Dorsey III had adventurous episodes from early childhood to the middle of his life, some of which brought him close to death. His exposure to metaphysics at Krotona Library in Ojai instilled in him a total belief that God would protect him in his journey through life. He became a Vegetarian and a Pacifist at the age of 17. About the same time, he fell in love with sail boats and the sea. After 3 years of travel and adventure on land and sea, he married and settled down to family life. After five years of marriage he became divorced and once again was a free man. He attended UC Berkeley in 1967 and 1968. He was involved in antiwar activities and joined SDS during the Vietnam War.
