Being a cheerleader I'll whisper it quietly, AAZ have big few months coming up, financial position should look as good as it has for years, plenty of ducks lining here.

Should test 34p high late last year, much better position now.

The low oil price and rising gold (breaking above the $1300 area now), makes gold stocks on the radar again.

$1400 gold would be a 3 year new high, and that would be quite bullish.

The North Korean missile launch over Japan appears to be the catalyst on this move. I can't see how North Korea are going to back down, and this situation will reach a crescendo at some point.

And so it was...

Tested the boundary of 34p on commencing Ugur mining a month back, since then proved up a jorc there but that's just one of the many op's going on.

Today's production update showed the progress, also showed substantive debt reduction. Expect a Operations update or 2 will follow soon as usually together. There is loads lining up here, this is poised to go much higher short and medium term.

Finally breached 34p today for new high not seen since depressed sellers; heck of a lot lining up here.

Just thought I'd bump my favourite gold oldie.

Still staggered this has not re-rated but suspect the time is nigh! Why?

Multitude of reasons such as last weeks anouncement Geotech going to undertake an airborne survey of the entire Gedabek territory with a view to proving up more detailed JORC, (possibly the mine life has held it back being objective); bear in mind a 3 year exploration program isalready underway to do just that and initial results due this quarter.

Otherwise and importantly, a dividend was signalled and due to be announced i suspect this week (19th), along with interim results - we already know they have gone cash positive this quarter.

This company is throwing off cash with A.I.S.C's at around $600, how cheap is that? Prinicipal directors have first mover in country advantage, excellent ties and large personal stakes in the game.

Finally they are ramping up the P.R game, suspect somewhere down the line they might look to get instituional support, seem to be pressing more flesh to get the S.P up. Midas has just tipped it some a likely P.I bounce will come, along with no doubt some retrace. However, such a small free float, anyone wanting in has to buy on the open market currently, all these factors are going to lead to buying pressure.

My reward has been good for perseverance but there is so much more to come - this week could re-ignite interest with shares stuck in the mid 40's range really since I last posted..

Next week could be interesting for AAZ.

Two investors presentations in town. One of which is for Hardman, who have published their research note. Never one to get over enthused by them but shows the dispabetween a failing house broker and their own forecast. Make of it as you find Https://www.hardmanandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Anglos-Asian-Mining-Hardman-Co-Investor-Forum-February-2019-WEB.pdf

Could we get jorc news too? Fair bit of news flow coming next couple of months for sure.

AAZ overdue an update.

Shares have largely been treading water this year, why I'm unsure but maybe it's a bit of impatience from "want it now" traders or possibility that the long overdue Geotech helicopter survey has not yet been delivered. However, for the latter the market was informed the sheer scale of data has caused the delay, which personally I take as encouraging.

Bill Morgan though by his consrvative standards, is sounding excited (see below).

Recently Gadir Jorc was updated, Ordubad initial exploration potential starting to be mapped out and Q1 came in far better than previous years with the benefit of the Flotation plant and SART processing this winter; even a temporary delay with the off taker holding back copper sales(now resolved) couldn't put that much of a dampener on ever growing excellent financial health.

So it's all lining up this month. More exploration commentary due for Gedabek, results and dividend news (which sounds like a small uside surprise coming) and the Heli news all looking set to light the fuse again. Shares currently 81.5p.....doubt for long!

Time for an overdue AAZ mention.

I've been good enough to let this settle back now and it's duly found support back over £1.

Full year results posted an impressive $25.2m pre tax profit, the dividend confirmed at 4c, highly encouraging helicopter surveys with much to drill and all self funded....what's not to like?

I’ve been a bit quiet on these but I went to the AGM and have to say, it was quite unlike any other I’d been to. The directors and staff went through the usual prelims but the Q and A session with directors and staff revealed so much more.

Most of the news flow is RNS’kd as promised and predicted with some real encouraging data coming out the heli-borne survey, identifying 31 prospective target zones; so much could say but I’m already a cheerleader enough.

Subsequently the price has responded and been teetering back above yearly highs.

Just quoting these charts to show the move since a press leak and AAZ subsequent RNS Thursday, suggesting independent valuer appointed, to establish method for valuing Azeri government takeover of AAZ holding company interest in PSA.

Early days but news and realisation AAZ siting on huge resource is finally becoming obvious to more than the board and a few shareholders.

Patience now being well rewarded 😊

Closing mid price 162.5p!!!

Back testing yearly highs ahead of likely news next week. Bill’s in London presenting, all sorts of speculation on new mines and other countries coming out in the Azeri press.

Finished the week on 173p! Just wow!

I’ve rode this since 5p days, sitting and accumulating. Yet there seems so much more to go before it achieves mid tier, AAZ are one of those rare stocks, that come along every so often.
