The Fed's Racetrack: Gold (GLD) vs Stocks (SPY) .. update :vs.CRB : GLD-hr : SPY-hr : GLD/SPYratio /

rR0Y0wW.gif

The Fed's money-printing has maintained confidence in markets - but the money has gone not only into stocks, but also into other areas. For many months, money flowed into commodities like Gold, pushing prices higher even faster than stocks, as the chart above shows. But since Gold's peak in Aug.2011, stocks have outperformed gold. Since then, these two assets have tended to trade counter-cyclically to each other.

Ratio: SPX-to-GLD - there's resistance at 200% : ie 2x th3 Gold Price

"US Stocks-in-Euros" ... SPX-to-EUR or SPY-to-FXE Ratio ... update

This Ratio - SPX to Euros seems to move in a nice clear channel

DrBubb's "Early Warning System"

Leading Ratio ... LQD:TLT-Weekly-3yrs : TLT-vsLQD : Copper : HG price : CU price : SPY-10/11 : SMH-6mos

I reckon that the LQD-to-TLT ratio should move in harmony with stocks, or maybe LEAD stock moves. If they are moving in different directions, then one should be cautious. (However, the value of this indicator has become suspect in recent years, after giving some false warnings.)

Gold's 4-6 months Cycle:

The next cyclical downturn may have started "early" in September - Low due near year-end maybe?

GLD: 1-yr: 2-yr : end-may: $116.06 +0.44/ UK:GBS: $115.50/ HK-2840: $ 898.5 /7.76= $115.80 : HK-3081: $29.35 r-30.61

The longer history of the cycles looked like this: 2013-15 :

: Low, Dec.15th,2016: 1129.8 / $103.04 = 10.96 / intraday: 1123/$103= 10.90
Gold-toUSD_zp.png

Look what happened after that Dec.2015 Low - a Nice Rally ! And then once again after a Dec. 2016 Low:Gold-toUSD.png

In April'17, I said: The Rally "may be petering out in April, and Gold (gold shares and silver), turned lower with bonds."

I anticipated this - and went short, selling Gold positions, and buying puts on TMF, a 3X etf linked to Bond prices.

But this anticipated cyclical low (May/June) either came early, or is coming late - It does not look as distinct (yet!) as prior lows.

So I am relunctant to bet on the Low and Buy at this stage.

TMF - this chart was from mid-April

"Rising interest rates, may turnaround the falling dollar, and "put the Kabash" on the rise in Gold..."

These prices tend to move together : TMF, GDX, UGLD, SLV : Bonds, Gold stocks, Gold, and Silver.

And they have been moving in a shared 4-6 months cycle - but this latest dip in Gold has not been accompanied by TMF until this week

TMF... 2-yrs : 5-yrs : 6-mos / 10-d : this chart was from mid-April7nuMzVn.gif

TMF - tends to move with Bonds, Gold, Gold shares, silver...

TMY is approximately about 9% lower, over just four days

Figures. Trump Bashing San Juan Mayor Was Big Hillary Clinton Supporter in 2016

Just four days ago San Juan, Puerto Rico Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz Soto praised FEMA for the work on the island.

carmen-cruz-600x391.jpg

Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Irma and then Hurricane Maria a categaory 5 monster hurricane two weeks later.

But Caren Yuliz Cruz Soto is a Democrat so she expects everything to be given to her for free.
On Friday she went out on all of the liberal mainstream news outlets and trashed President Trump.

The San Juan mayor accused FEMA and President Trump of offering her no help.
She said this in front of a pallet of US aid.

For the record… Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz has refused to visit the FEMA headquarters after several invitations and is not participating in ANY FEMA meetings.
Wow!

On Saturday FOX News contributor Geraldo Rivera interviewed Mayor Cruz and then tweeted this.

Ouch!

Geraldo Rivera @GeraldoRivera

#SanJuanMayor says residents are "dying," & somehow @realDonaldTrump is to blame.

I'm here. Who is dying? Why? Where? Let me help save them.

  2. What investors - and everyone else - get wrong about innovation

Luis Peres-Breva, director of MIT's flagship hands-on innovation program, talks to MarketWatch about the biggest misconceptions around innovation and explains how real innovation can be scaled up to make an impact.

"By the time you know it is an (important) innovation, it is already done"

"In the beginning, many of the ideas look awful."

"The most important thing, is not the team, it is... will the idea scale up?"

SIX-Similarities-between-today-and-1987-when-the-dow-plummeted-23%-in-one-day

The similarities

Please click here for a table showing the six similarities in the stock market between today and 1987.

The first similarity, but not others, needs some explanation. In 1987, money managers were buying stocks with impunity because they thought the stock market was a one-way street — large profits and little risk. They were sold portfolio insurance by the wizards of Wall Street that, in theory, should have protected them against losses. Portfolio insurance was accomplished through derivatives such as options and futures. With the benefit of hindsight, we now know that portfolio insurance not only failed to protect them, but it also accelerated selling.

A similar danger exists now in the popularity of exchange traded funds (ETFs), especially large flows of money in ETFs by passive investors. At this time, most investors do not have any appreciation for the risks in passive ETF investing, just as when, in 1987, most portfolio managers had no appreciation for the risks in portfolio insurance.

When it comes to sentiment in the stock market, investors need to be careful. Those numbers, such as those from the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII), are based on surveys. At The Arora Report, our research shows that in this bull market, there are significant differences between what investors say and what they do. For this reason, the proprietary sentiment measures that we use at The Arora Report in our complex timing model give heavier weight to what investors are actually doing and less weight to what they are saying.

Based on the proprietary measures at The Arora Report, sentiment in the stock market is now very bullish but not extremely bullish. That’s not splitting hairs. Extremely bullish sentiment is often a contrary indicator and often precedes a decline in the market.

Just like in 1987, valuations are high and earnings are rising. And in recent days, interest rates have risen. Rising interest rates have driven up popular bank stocks such as Bank of America BAC, +0.27% Citigroup C, +1.46% J.P. Morgan JPM, +1.39% and popular brokerage stocks such as Schwab SCHW, +0.69% E*TRADE Financial Corp. ETFC, +0.11% and Ameritrade AMTD, +0.51% In her last speech, Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen indicated a determination to raise official rates in December. The market is giving only about a 60% probability to a rate hike in December, essentially not believing Yellen. In 1987, the absolute level of interest rates was much higher, but they were rising, just like now.

Ask Arora: Nigam Arora answers your questions about investing in stocks, ETFs, bonds, gold and silver, oil and currencies. Have a question? Send it to Nigam Arora.

Sell signal

In view of the similarities, should you sell your equities? If not, how would you protect yourself? To analyze the situation, we must look not only at the similarities but also at the differences between today and 1987. I will be writing separately on the differences between 1987 and now.

The prevailing wisdom now, like in 1987, is to be bullish and not dump equities.

My longtime readers know my track record of going against the prevailing wisdom and giving unequivocally clear sell signals. For example, in the fall of 2007, The Arora Report gave a sell signal for the stock market, calling for going 100% into cash...

Does RDS get it wrong here?

Robert Steele - Las Vegas Was A Zio-Con Operation ,

MSM Is Complicit & How Trump Should Respond

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAysq0SDHv8

No bodies. No blood pools.

The official narrative makes no sense

photo.jpg

Did they preserve the crime scene? Did they collect bullets for ballistics? Did they do forensics on trajectory? Who gave the figures on the dead? Who collected the bodies? Who did the autopsies? Where's footage from cell phones? Who interviewed the injured? Where is the list of the people that died? Bodycam footage from the shooter take down?

photo.jpg

Well sir, you just discredited yourself on the 'no bodies' thing. I live in Vegas. I know people who were shot, trampled, and had to jump over bodies to try to escape with their lives. I have been researching this constantly since it happened and there WAS BLOOD EVERYWHERE. Just because the press isn't showing it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I have a dear friend who works at UMC trauma center, and she has worked a non-stop shift trying to support the people who have been injured. They have shipped people to other hospitals after being triaged at UMC, because there were too many to help. A client of mine's sister was grazed by a bullet, had to have 3 staples put in her head and she showed me the picture. So, I might buy the rest of the story about Adelsen/Chertoff as I find that somewhat credible, but you blew it by making the no bodies, no blood assertion. This EVENT did happen. It is not a fabricated media false flag, though I agree they are completely complicit in confusing the story line. I will say, based on my extensive research, that this most CERTAINLY was a combination of DHS drill, crisis actors, and real events. All used to confuse the story, which has been successful.

photo.jpg
Steele was a highly placed CIA covert action influence operation insider. His words should carry some weight. There is no mistake that the dual citizen Israeli DHS head Chertoff whose mother was a founding member of the MOSSAD orchestrated this phony fake operation. Chertoff was instrumental in releasing the dancing Israeli's of 9/11 who stated they were only there to document the event with their video equipment.
Trump is 100% controlled by the Zionists Bankstas.... don't be fooled. Look at EVERYONE he surrounded himself with they are all Ashkenazi Zionists. Don't believe me research yourself!

Owners Clash in Private Over Protests...

n response to the ongoing controversy surrounding NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, the owner of Flemington Car and Truck Country has pulled the dealership's ads from broadcasts of games for the remainder of the 2017 season.

"The National Football League and its owners have shown their fans and marketing partners that they do not have a comprehensive policy to ensure that players stand and show respect for America and our flag during the playing of the national anthem," Steve Kalafer said in a statement. "We have cancelled all of our NFL advertising on the Optimum and Infinity (cable) networks."

Gold Shows First Signs of Price Support Kitco Commentary Oct 4
== ==
Despite a slip in the gold price, one longtime expert says the market is still in “very good shape.” Speaking with Kitco News, Sprott U.S. Holdings CEO Rick Rule said he thinks gold is setting itself up for further gains. “The most important determinant of gold prices for the last 40 years has been they have been negatively correlated with faith the U.S. dollar and faith in the U.S. 10-year treasury,” he explained. “The U.S. 10-year Treasury is, I believe, close to the end of a 35-year bull market. That would suggest gold is much closer to the beginning of a bull market.
. . .

Spot gold has seen similar gains in trading today, currently fixed at $1274 an ounce with a net gain of $3.80. According to the Kitco Gold Index (KGX), $2.30 of today’s price gains can be directly attributable to a weak U.S. dollar, with the remaining gain of a $1.50 as a direct result of buyers in the market.

The most recent price decline in gold began on September 7th and occurred at precisely the same time as the U.S. dollar index reached an intraday low of 91. This low was to be the last leg down of the dollar’s decline which began at the end of 2016.

Up until then, the dollar had been in a freefall as traders sold the dollar from a high of 103, ultimately giving up just about 12% in value in under a year.

Guest(s): Ian Telfer Chairman, Goldcorp

"It will go to zero," Ian Telfer said with regards to bitcoin.

The cryptocurrency has taken markets by storm but to the veteran mining entrepreneur, it is not something to get too excited about. Speaking with Kitco News in Toronto, the Goldcorp chairman warned investors to be "very, very" careful. "I don't think it's stealing gold's thunder," he said. "Longer term, I am personally not sure how these cryptocurrencies are going to work and I'm not sure governments are going to let them exist." (show less)

'We Are Running Out of Gold' - Goldcorp’s Ian Telfer (PART 1/3)

VIDEO: Ian Telfer Chairman, Goldcorp

Gold may be setting itself up for higher prices because there just isn't enough of it anymore, this according to mining mogul Ian Telfer. Speaking with Kitco News on the sidelines of the Mines & Money conference in Toronto, the Goldcorp chairman said miners are just not finding gold like they used to. "We're running out of gold as an industry," he said. "I think we're spending significant amounts of money exploring but it's getting harder to find." Telfer, who has been behind countless deals in the mining industry, said the picture is looking a little brighter for the industry moving forward. "Production is starting to turn down and once that starts to turn down, I think you'll see the gold price really start to move."

The key to survival?

"Not having too much debt because the debt in a downturn is what destroys most mining companies."

===

17_10_03_Ian_Telfer_SS0_PART3.jpg
Some investors hoard gold to protect against what could be the biggest financial crisis in history, but not this mining executive. "I don't think it's going to be the end of the world," Ian Telfer, chairman of Goldcorp, told Kitco News at the Mines & Money conference in Toronto. But, the successful entrepreneur says there is one thing worrying him right now.
"Unfunded government liabilities are probably the biggest, single black swan out there because all these pensioners around the world are assuming they're getting their pensions and the money isn't there," he said. "That is going to be a huge crisis. How that'll get resolved, I'm not sure."

OLD WINE in a new bottle?

"The alliance is now more powerful than the cabal," says David Wilcock,

in this interview that Jimmy Church did with D-Wilcock for Coast to Coast .

(it may have been already posted above under a different title - but worth a listen for those who did not hear it)

Atlantis Has Been Found Under Antarctica BREAKING STORY

Published on Aug 8, 2017 (might have been before that)

Author, lecturer, and researcher of ancient civilizations, David Wilcock joined Jimmy Church (Fade To Black) for a discussion on recent discoveries indicating Antarctica may actually have been Atlantis. Wilcock says he is in contact with "at least two insiders who directly advise Presidents of the United States" who have been steadily feeding him "Cosmic Top Secret" information for many years. He claimed that this information is not revealed to Presidents because they could slip up or be forced to tell the public what they know. He believes that there is a global power struggle going on that has reached a critical stage and made many elites start to scramble for safety.

As you will learn from the comments under the video, DW is a controversial guy, who has made some good and bad predictions.

But he is always interesting to hear. And many of his ideas get picked up elsewhere.

Dirk Pitt discovers Atlantis, in a breathtaking novel from the grand master of adventure fiction.

Clive Cussler has long since proven himself one of America's most popular authors--a master of intricate, audacious plotting and "vibrant, rollicking narrative" (Chicago Tribune). But Atlantis Found may be his most audacious novel of all.

September l858: An Antarctic whaler stumbles upon an aged wreck, its grisly frozen crew guarding crates of odd antiquities--and a skull carved from black obsidian.

March 200l: A team of anthropologists gazes in awe at a wall of strange inscriptions, moments before a blast seals them deep within the Colorado rock.

April 200l: A research ship manned by Dirk Pitt and members of the U.S. National Underwater and Marine Agency is set upon and nearly sunk by an impossibility--a vessel that should have died fifty-six years before.

Pitt knows that somehow all these incidents are connected, and his investigations soon land him deep into an ancient mystery with very modern consequences, up against a diabolical enemy unlike any he has ever known, and racing to save not only his own life but the future of the world itself.

The trap is set. The clock is ticking. And only one man stands between earth and Armageddon. . . .

Filled with dazzling suspense and astonishing set pieces, this is Clive Cussler's greatest adventure novel yet.

"I've always had tremendous fun with Dirk Pitt, but nothing has given me more pleasure than the opportunity to send him to that most fabled of lost lands, Atlantis, and to virtually reinvent aspects of its civilization. I hope you have as good a time reading Atlantis Found as I did writing it!"--Clive Cussler

In the 1999 Novel,
Atlantis is found under the ice of Antarctica.
The novel imagines that It shifted down there after an asteroid collided with Earth 7,000 years ago.
This is essential the same story that Wilcock tells
